Have you trolled anyone yet in game?
Posted on 6/6/13 at 1:17 pm to Blitzed
I tried to but they didn't care. Stupid zombies.

if by trolling. you mean.....throwing an alarm clock out into the street. letting zombies swarm it. then tossing a molly and lighting them on fire.
.....then yes.
.....then yes.

nope. not right now.
this is Undead Lab's first project.
But they are really excited at the response they've gotten so far and appear to be a gamer suggestion friendly dev lab.
there is already a poll on their forum on if there was a co-op how many other players would you want? 1 more or 3 more?
...so it's not like they are against the idea.

If there's a GB awards this year Im pretty sure I know what's getting my vote for indie goty. I don't see much on the XBLa topping this

I enjoy the " call for scavengers" option so Im not the only one bringing supplies back. I also like the ability to distract zombies so I can get away. The amount of zombies still is an issue for me. If they made the encounters less frequent I think it would make them more intense.

Downloaded this late last night and ended up playing for a few hours. Seems awesome so far.
Are there finite numbers of zombies like everything else? Or do they just respawn

They are everywhere and whether you dispatch a specific zombie or not more than a dozen will be there to take its place the next time you are in that area again.

I agree there should be fewer zombies but not a finite number. I've never seen a zombie show or movie run out of zombies

I think car/weapon repair rates are related to IRL time and not in-game time. Got off last night at 10 and came back this morning and the vehicles/weapons were repaired and morale was lower meaning things happen while you are not playing. It's definitely not in-game time because I left a fricked up hatchback in a parking spot for several nights and nothing happened.
I also searched a house that had a P90 and Uzi along with several pistols, a NRA member definitely lived there

Thats what IM saying. Frick an outpost with 10+ people. Give me 3 more survivors and a moat. and Im good.

What did woody harrelson say I'm zombie land? God bless hillbillies? Lol
Posted on 6/6/13 at 3:10 pm to SaintLSUnAtl
Exactly, I couldn't even carry all of the weapons. I think the scavenger I called in picked them all up for me though.

Crazy game feature...
This will certainly be a new challenge...

Q: My game did not save! Why did it not save?
Q: How come I can't make it save when I want to?
A: State of Decay is a persistent world game. What that means is that time continues to pass when you are not online.
If you left:
- your community in pretty good shape, morale wise, and
- cars in parking spaces near your base and food in the kitchen,
- weapons in need of repair in the lockers near your workbench,
- and sufficient time has passed,
You will come back and find that people are happy, repaired cars and weapons, and possibly some new stuff from the things your survivors did while you weren't there. Their lives continue, as independently as you saw them living when you were online.
If you left:
- Morale sliding, and
- Too many infestations (please note, we're ACTIVELY working on a change where we reduce how much square footage is considered in this calculation to make it a little less...insane...), and
- Vaguely ominous warnings about someone looking sick, and
- Not enough beds for people to sleep in,
You will come back to find the shite has hit the fan.
It continues on the path you set.
PLEASE NOTE: The pace of progression slows the longer you are offline. If you are offline for one day, you will see a pretty sizable chunk of change. If you are offline for two, you'll see a bit more than that. But the difference between a week and a month is minor. We expect that our players are adults, and adults sometimes need to be away from a game for months at a time.
This will certainly be a new challenge...
