Love that they’re comparing it to Far Harbor

Started playing Starfield again about a week ago in anticipation of this dropping.
The REV-8 is a great idea, but driving that thing is a son of a bitch

There are 2 control settings for it. I think default is called "Responsive" or something, meaning if the vehicle is pointing at you on the screen and you pull down on the stick, it will move towards you instead of going backwards. I switched to "Traditional" controls and it handles more like I'm used to.

Did not know this...will have to try it out

Really shows Bethesda is listening to the complaints by the community
Now just continue down this direction and flesh out the various worlds more with stuff not procedurally generated.
The framework is there for a great game

Pete Hines, before he retired, hammered home the idea of focusing on Activities more than you typically would. I started doing this when I picked it back up recently and I'm hopeful this addresses my biggest complaint about the game: finding the good hand crafted content in the sea of copy paste crap. So far, it's taken me to locations I wasn't aware of with interesting quest lines. I think that's going to be my main focus going forward, for now.

It’s a lot of fun as it is with mods, been playing a lot for the past few days.

For sure. It has its own soul like ES and Fallout, it just needs to be beefed up and filled in.

I hope they keep putting meat on the bones. Could end up being a “GOTY/DE” kind of buy for me eventually.

Anyone fired this up yet? A little bummed it wasn't included with Game Pass

I won't be able to get to it until tonight.

When I saw this post, I figured I would check Steam to see if they were running a bit of a redemption “hey, give us another shot!” Sale.
$100 for the base game ($70) plus new DLC ($30)

Just had to start a whole new character because mods tanked my multiple NG+ save
No better time than now with SS finally out

$30 for 7 hours of content on a single planet is steep.

How to start Shattered Space
quote:
The only in-game requirement to begin Shattered Space is to complete the game's first mission, One Small Step. This mission takes you to Jemison on New Atlantis in the Alpha Centauri system. You don't need to join Constellation to complete the mission.
However, the recommended level for the Shattered Space DLC is 35 and above. While you can start the expansion at a lower level, some of the enemies and missions will be extremely tough at a lower level.
quote:
- Travel to a star system that has no active missions available for it. You also need to clear any bounties and ensure you have no contraband onboard your ship before starting Shattered Space.
- Make sure to travel to a system and not a specific planet.
- Once you arrive in a system with no other missions, you'll receive a distress call from someone onboard The Oracle.
- This makes a new mission, What Remains, appear in your quest log.
- Activate the new mission and board The Oracle space station, which will appear in whatever system you traveled to.
- The Oracle is a large station with tall beams surrounding it.
- To board The Oracle, press the "Interact" button while in your ship and you'll get the prompt to dock.

From what I'm reading, that sounds right if you just do the main story of the DLC. I believe there's a good bit more if you do the Bethesda thing and do all the other stuff as well.

Bethesda, and Starfield, blow. DLC should be free for how dogshit that game is...
If they frick up the next ES game (they will), I hope they go under
