NMS was such a good idea and I've tried multiple times to play it but I just can't do it. It definitely feels like there's no point to the game
This. Starfield essentially contains everything good about NMS plus the depth of a Bethesda game

Starfield will actually have a story and a deep game universe

I bought it when it came out and it sucked arse, a few years later I check in and apparently they made all these changes and people loved it, but I’m more of a story guy, RDR2 is my favorite game of all time, so starfield is the perfect game for me as space is my favorite genre of games.

I don't think I've ever seen a console preload this far in advance of a release

There's a starfield Q&A going on right now. I'll post a link shortly.

Player home are available in main city areas. Will Shen confirms when asked if they can be bought.
"Yep! There’s housing in different cities that the player can get. Some you have to purchase and some are rewards for specific quests." #Starfield

Is an OG Xbox One going to be able to run this game?

I can't find the right discord channel but this guy is covering the questions.
I'm sure all the questions will be posted later so I'll add when it's available.

Not compreshensive, but a good general breakdown.

@Starfield_Count
HERE'S EVERYTHING WE LEARNED FROM TODAY'S #STARFIELD DEV Q&A IN ONE POST:
- There is player housing in cities! Some are rewards for different quests but others have to be purchased. There's at least ONE in each of the main cities.
- With the Kid Stuff trait, your parents will be based on what your character looks like. Emil says the actors playing both roles got really into it and hints at cool stuff we can get.
- You can choose an anonymous background and no traits if none of the options interest you.
- Certain items are considered Contraband and special ship modules will help you smuggle them past security in orbit of major settlements.
- There is a jail system. You can elect to go to jail, pay a fine or try to escape when arrested.
- There are times where the themes of crime and punishment are explored in the game.
- You can infiltrate the Crimson Fleet for UC SysDef as a part of a quest.
- Existing real life religions are a part of the Starfield universe but the focus is mostly on three new groups.
- The Sanctum Universum believe that God physically exists within the universe and grav-jumping and the ability to travel the stars is God's way of saying "Come find me."
- The Enlightened are organised atheists - they don't believe in a higher power, rather that humans have to take care of one another.
- The House Va'ruun believe that the Great Serpent will encircle the universe and devour every non-believer.
- There are over 20 named characters who can join your crew. 4 are from Constellation and they are the main focus.
- When assigning a crew member to an outpost, there's a one time payment. You don't have to pay a regular salary.
- Companion skills do not level up. They stack with the player's skills "when relevant."
- There are lots of buttons in Starfield.
- The mechs we saw in the animated shorts are leftover from the Colony War. Both sides had them but the Freestar Collective mastered them with the UC being more reliant on controlled alien beasts they kept. There's an old mech battleground in the game.

Seeing rumors that the download size for the Series X is around 126GB.
Posted on 8/16/23 at 3:47 pm to sicboy
126GB seems to be confirmed for the Series X, 140GB for PC.

$10 off both versions at Newegg for both Steam and Windows/Xbox preorders. Use code SAVEXDPP at check-out.

Saw a guy on Twitter downloading it to his S and it showed about 101. So maybe those numbers are required hard drive space just for the install.

Has anyone decided what factions they plan on joining? What builds/play style are you going with?
