24 hours also replenishes vendor credits as well.

Have you switched to a new ship or upgraded your first ship? Even without starship design you can at least do some like better shields slightly better guns. I"m getting the sense that this thing isn't a fighter. I got a second ship through a side quest that has me trouncing 2 ships easily and battling through two.

Yup, might even have the same one you got and did a few upgrades to it.

Odd. I did some light upgrading and have been kicking the shite out of people on whatever standard difficulty.

It was a large amount of ships to take on, without wanting to spoil any side stories. Smaller fights haven’t been much of an issue.

Kid Stuff is pretty useful imo. Find your parents house when you get to New Atlantis before continuing the main quest chain. They give you all sorts of things as you progress. Pretty good pistol early on. You send them 2% of your credits every week, so I imagine that will be pretty pricey at some point, but there is an option to cut them off.
I picked Extrovert also. Gives you a buff in combat when you have a companion. Introvert is the same if you like going alone.
I think the other one I picked was alien DNA. I didn't want to pick a faction to start.

I did Wanted because I thought it would be cool. It's not anything special, a few bounty hunters just show up every eight hours or so with some repetitive dialogue and die in about a minute. However there are hints of more powerful bounty hunters that might be in the pipeline, but so far a bust.
I took Freestar Collective and it's been relatively uninteresting aside from a few dialogue options. Might come up more later.
I think I also took Raised Universal which hasn't come up at all yet.
Traits were kind of a bust for this game come to think of it.

I think the wanted applies to more damage at low health all the time correct?

Is anyone playing on the hardest difficulty? I think that’s my plan.
I went Hard instead of Very Hard. It’s hard to gauge the difficulty at first because the main story missions are low level. Some side missions will have a boss 15-20 levels above you after fighting guys your level or lower. It’s all over the place. That’s a pain. I don’t know how much the space battles are affected, but that’s my most difficult challenge so far.

This is wrong I didn't pick this one. I picked taskmaster. Not sure it has helped at all yet.

I pursued the constellation/artifact plotline quite a bit right out of the gate. Did a small selection of sidequests but now I'm starting to build up an intimidating list of shite to do. Seems like every NPC I run past whispers in my ear and gives me another questline.
I was initially worried that this game would be boring and focus more on exploration, base building, and resource management. That stuff is there, but its not a chore and it doesnt appear to be the focal point.
So far, the vibe feels like 'upbeat fallout'. Similar aesthetics, except everything is not falling in on itself or irradiated to high heaven. It's like if the institute had a nobler goal than playing post apocalyptic body snatchers.

I love when a game does this. I know I started off talking to everyone and worry I've slowed down too much since. Good reminder to chat more.
You're right on the upbeat Fallout thing. I was even walking through Akila thinking it felt like Fallout but if hey actually cleaned up instead of leaving trash and skeletons around for 200 years.

I got a few hours in last night. I'm a little overwhelmed, but hopefully I'll get comfortable with it soon. Good game so far.
