Got it yesterday. I can only do it in short bursts. I'm not hating on it, and I get why people like it, but it makes me want to play gears after about 30 minutes in to a session. Canadian dude I run a lot of games with online is grabbing it next weekend so maybe it will be better in the mp campaign.

Playing with bots is nice to have as an option, but this game really is meant to be played with other people/friends, campaign included.

Only problem I have with the bots is I thought the command functions on the Dpad would tell them where to go. Its essentially a function only for playing with real people.

Loving the game so far but I agree with the poster above, can only play in short bits here and there.. adult life

On another hand, are there any TD groups looking to play sometime? My Blood Angel yearns for the slaughter

No public matchmaking for the campaign. What a dumbass decision

Thankfully, for the hurricane and the good power grid I’m on I should be able to play quite a bit tomorrow and at least the campaign and hopefully operations and matchmaking if the Internet keeps up. If anyone else is doing the same, let me know We can make a party.

Finished up the "tutorial" last night and was hoping to play some operations, but sadly, my internet is trash (believable) or the servers were just overloaded as shite (also believable).

I am dogshit at games like this, since I usually play 4X/Grand Strategy, but my console skills are getting better. If you're okay with me struggling through normal difficulty, feel free to add me, PSN is Bigskydogger.

ETA: GW's plan for video games works, because I'm headed to one of the hobby stores this week to grab the WH40k rulebooks and a model set of yet unknown origin.

I bought it yesterday and have only played about 1-2 hours. Having some fun with it. I don’t know any of the lore, but just feels like a really solid enjoyable game. Kind of the way games used to be.

Question though. When should you play the operator missions. Right when the next one is available or after the campaign is completed? Does it matter?

Technically it doesnt matter. You can play them as they coincide with the campaign, or wait to beat the full campaign then do them. But you will grind those missions a lot to level up the classes and weapons. Their will be new operations added for free in future updates as well.

Just finished the campaign. One of the more enjoyable games I have played in a while. Just a classic straight forward lot of action campaign. Kind of the way games used to be.

For The Emperor!

Now time for PvE and PvP.

Just now on the 3/4th campaign mission and loving it so far. Got the alpha Chad vibes of Gears, alien worlds of Halo, and combat is I guess kind of like Devil may cry with more shooting?

Same, but on steam. If you do have steam... I'm always playing some strategy game (usually EU4).

A few months ago I started deep diving into 40k lore. Have a few boxes of things I have yet to build...

I played it some more this weekend and it finally started to grow on me. Same thing happened to me the first time I played Demon's Souls on ps3. Hated it the first time I tried it, gave it another chance a few days later and it was a lot better.

2,648.6 in Stellaris and about to fire it up for a few hours. Curious if you have me beat on that one. 535 hours in ck2 and a mere 150 on ck3.

I have about 400 on Stellaris, 600 on HOI4, 1600 on EUIV, and 2200 between CK2 and CK3. Last three CIVs at about 1000 between them all. Probably a few hundred on TW games.

ETA: That is literally 85% of my gaming for about 15 years, though.

You should get that soon.

I am still pretty bad at SM2...not really sure how to get better. Haven't played anything with shooting outside of GTA or RDR since, frick, 2007 or 2008. Am I just old now? My first instinct in any game is to just bull-rush and be a tank or melee the shite out of things - I have no sense of self-preservation.
