Bad news, but at least I got to enjoy Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us games (actually still playing TLOU2; 23 hours in and on Day 1 of Abby's playthrough). Insane considering I beat TLOU1 in 21 hours.

Oh yeah, and Spider-Man and Miles Morales. Probably won't get around to 2 because my PC is 7 years old.

Actually have Days Gone in the ole' backlog as well.

No feelings here. You won't be able to come up with enough Sony-produced exclusives to justify that system over XBox.

Also, Ragnarok was released on PC so will be playable on the new XBox.

why would anyone buy an Xbox when they have a PC? If I wanna play sports games I'll play on PS5/6 and have access to PS5/6 exclusives

PS exclusives on PC were releasing a year+ after official console launch, the only sales they were getting were PC users who were never planning on buying it on console to begin with.

What makes Sony seethe is the fact they have to pay steam 30% per copy and that their games were going to be playable on true competitor devices (new Xbox hybrid PC and Steam machine)

I don't like gaming on a PC.

I buy all of the platforms, generally

Currently I game on Xbox more than PS5

More on PC than all 3

I don't trust ports on a TV to my gaming PC. Voltage backfeed is very common with TVs, and can zap a graphics card. Consoles are disposable.

I work on a computer all day. I like putting it down.

I didn't enjoy playing on a TV monitor with my PC when I did game on PC. Not totally following what you said here but maybe we're of the same opinion there. I don't know what voltage backfeed and zapping a graphics card means. I'm clearly out of the game with those terms.

I don’t need to come up with “enough”. If PlayStation has at least one exclusive that I want to play, then that justifies the purchase. Xbox doesn’t have one exclusive I am interested in

My TV is huge.

My monitors are not huge

I like gaming on my PC alot. But I enjoy gaming on my consoles on my TV

I also prefer the multimedia and streaming options with the consoles, to other streaming mediums

FWIW streaming Hulu Live is way better with the Series X than the PS5.

Sometimes with TVs an HDMI or DP can send voltage (often static discharge) back through the ports. This can fry sensitive electronics like PC components.

Consoles are more robust and able to tank those things to ground, because they are designed to work with televisions.

Got it. Thanks for the explanation. I did not know any of this.

Got it. This is exactly the reason I didn't like PC gaming on my TV.

I never understood the people who purchased a Nintendo Switch solely for Breath of the Wild, and for the same reason I'll never understand people like you. It's your money though. Waste it however you want.

None of this would matter if the PS6 launches with Bloodborne 2 or a remake.

Save all of these worries for the PS7.

Brother, go back and look at my post. That’s not what I said was bullshite

And as for the second chunk of that post of mine: I believe that Sony believes that releasing games on PC hurts console sales; I simply think they are wrong. We’ll see how it shakes out.

While my TV is bigger, it’s not that much bigger. To have the TV equivalent at ten feet away of what I have with my 34” monitor at two feet away, I would need a 170” TV.

So?

So... why does it matter if the TV is bigger, if because you view it from further away, it's functionally a smaller viewing area?
