I have built 3 gaming PC's for myself. I work in I.T. and don't want to mess with it anymore. My last PC was a custom build from Xidax. If I were buying today I would buy this.

That actually reflects the core issue I have with buying a prebuilt.
Which air cooler?
What’s the CAS on the RAM?
Which B550 motherboard?
Which 3060?
Which 1TB NVME?
Which 650w gold PSU?
Depending on the answers to those questions, there is about $500 worth of value up in the air.

DM @powergpu on Twitter. That guy can build you about anything you want and ship it to you. You’re welcome.

another question
at this point would it be the smart/better move to put up the cost for the 40 series card or go with a 30 series? i know it might be too early to tell with the 40's. Realistically what would you be needing the extra power for that the 30 series cards couldn't handle?

The 40 series is currently a pricing shitshow. You should only buy a 40 series card if you need the horsepower of a 4090, which unless you do high res high setting high fps gaming, you don’t.
With that said, there might be merit to waiting for the December AMD series release, but only time will tell on that.

He should wait until the GPU scene shakes itself out, regardless

Just trying to get a feel for things, incase I want to upgrade.
be careful, as several brands have PSU connectors that are only compatible with their system boards so upgrading is sometimes not an option
