22 minute youtube vid

To be fair he does admit like 45 seconds in the vid its only 4-5 hours of the game and all Sony would allow. Essentially believes it feels like Team Ninja trying to ape better and more popular games, it doesnt really look that good I mean its ps3 level at times, and releases same date as dogma 2 will sink it. Thats essentially his message if you dont wanna see a 22 min video.

I think the game looks great, but I'm waiting to find out if it's a soulslike. If it is, I'm not touching it

According to him, who imo is likely the best youtube big game reviewer when it comes to not shilling and I dont always agree or like what he says for instance he didnt care for FF16, but this is just another Team Ninja game in a new coat of paint. Essentialy it is Wo Long during Edo Japan by his account with the novelty of a open world to try to mix their structure up but it still comes down to just another string of tried and true team ninja missions. If this is your thing youll likely love it, its not a souls like, I was hoping something more akin to Ghost of Tsuhima meets Sekiro so I will likely be passing. Phatom blade zero is on the herizon and looks to be delivering more what I am wanting.

In all the gameplay vids I’ve seen thus far the graphics look laughably bad. I had high hopes but it looks like a poor man’s ghost of tsushima

I wouldnt say its like laughably bad or anything. It just looks like a team ninja game through and through 100% without deviation. Which a lot of people fricking love that shite especially Nion but I think people, myself included and maybe many others, were hoping theyd stretch their legs with the open world and move to current gen. At least from all indications and the reviewer I personally trust the most this didnt happen.

I never played DD1 much so I dont have much nostalgia for it that said I fully understand and know why people love it so much and what makes it so unique. I think it will sell well, be a great game, and be a lot of fun to play when I eventually get around to it but I know its early in the year from where I sit theres 3 goty contenders and really 2 1 is way back and thats Rebirth and Dogma with STellar blade distant 3

Yeah not my jam or general design of game I typically enjoy. Only one I have beaten they made was the kinda parody of FF1 chaos or whatever a year back but they werent making it alone so it a bunch of classic FF stuff like job systems but retained all the stuff I dislike about Team ninja. I had big hopes this would be Ghost of Tsuhima open world and story quality with sekiro combat

fightincowboy on youtube didn't really care for it too much. said the graphics are worse than Ghost of Tsushima on PS4 and the gameplay/combat was overly simplistic. He loves the other Team Ninja games and said this one was a step down.

Meanwhile, he just posted a 4 hour long video simply for character creation in DD2 lol. Looks like you have to create 3 different characters (1 main and 2 others?) I've never played or heard anything about DD so I don't know what this is about. But the character creation system must be incredibly deep for it to justify a 4 hour streamed video like that.

Yeah its a pretty central component to the game. It is called the pawn system you make a main one (gonna make mine as waifu as the game will let me) and another you lend to other players and they do the same for you and each of your disposables levels and gets exp. I have never messed with Dogma much but its got that a other unique systems to it alone

I think he along with a few other streamers were picked for some special character creation? I think you get to play with theirs if you want. Something like that.

You essentially create pawns that you can pick to travel around with to fill out your party. At least that’s the way it was in 1. So if you picked a warrior and wanted a long range attacker and a magic person you could build them to run around with. But you could also summon pawns that other players had created as well. So I don’t know what’s supposed to be so special about having a streamer’s pawn other than to just say you did it and you know for sure it’s theirs

If Capcom picked him for that that’s probably a reason he made a 4 hour video for it
