Should i pre-order Red Dead 2 now? Or will the bonuses get better if I wait?

This will be the first game i’ve Bought new since Battlefield 1. And when I bought battlefield 1 I stupidly bought the season pass, and then a week later they were offering the season pass PLUS the early enlister pack free.
Should I preorder red dead 2 now? Or would it behoove me to wait?
And this thing isn’t going to be chock full of micro transactions is it?

i preordered for some gimmicky shite. First time i have done it, ever. i usually just digitally download the game on release.
Now that i think about it, what really are the gimmicky offers?
I know they give you DLC with the better versions, or was it for preordering???

In most cases I would agree but Red Dead is going to be worth your money. Might as well get a couple freebies thrown in if you know you're going to pick it up, one of the few games that wont go down in price for quite a while.

Rockstar isn’t EA. EA was incredibly dumb by releasing DLC a few months after the game came out, splitting up the player base.
If Red Dead is anything like GTA 5, you don’t need any extra DLC unless you want to have a head start online.

i fully expect red dead to be a HUGE letdown because they are gonna spend so many more resources on the online part and that will make the single player/campaign a lot worse.
GTA makes so much money on Shark Cards they will want whatever the red dead equivalent is to sell a ton and will focus hard on making ways to incentivize buying them.
that being said, its still a day 1 purchase so u might as well preorder the version that comes with free credits

They did a great job with the longevity of Gta though. They added more online missions almost 3 years after release

He was asking in regards to pre-order bonuses. Barracuda is essentially doing the "pre-orders are hurting the industry" shtick.

Discount is only for hard copies not digital and all they have available at least for PS4 is digital.

And I believe august 7h is the last day you can get the discount for preorders. After that it Prime is taking it away, so if there are games you are thinking about doing, I would put the preorder in now if you can to get the discount.
