They would pick either rivals old recruiting info for most teams and then ESPN for the bigger name schools.

It was all over the sports gaming world back in 2013. If it's untrue, they sure didn't make much of an effort to retract the claim because I can't find a single article online that disputes it.

I used Florida’s playbook for all 3 years that Tebow was there. I know the formation they claim that had the name (it was the jump pass/shotgun goal line formation). It was never called that. Someone probably got a hold of a beta and released that.

It wasn’t in any of those 3 years of releases.

ETA: formation was called Shotgun Heavy.

And if it was called the Tebow formation in 2009, it would have made news then, not in 2013. It never made news because it never happened.

The article states as much. It wasn't named that in-game.

However, if you went into the Game Prep feature in Dynasty, then it displayed the alternative name for the play which included Tebow's name. It probably didn't get noticed in 2009 because that sort of thing wouldn't make you look twice before the lawsuits trickled in and it was located in a fairly obscure area of the game.

Like I said, it it were in the game, it would have made news in 2009, not 4 years later.

This game is going to be filled with pay to win and loot boxes. Holy frick, it will make the NBA game, where you had to pay for socks, hair cuts, and hair styles look like childs play

You keep believing whatever you need to believe and I'll defer to the mountains of articles online that say that it was in there and we can just go about our days.

Must’ve been the PS2 version. That’s all the images I’ve seen.

Yeah because it wasn’t on ps3. He’s still sticking behind those suspect articles from 2013 claiming it had it in there, even though you can mod old games and yet there isn’t a single story about it from 2009. Plus everyone who actually played the game knows it wasn’t there.

I mean what’s more likely:

1. No one noticed for 4 years that the face of college football at the time had a formation named after him in the most popular college football game until someone just happened to point it out to media outlets when it became apparent that it was going to be the last edition of the game for years or

2. They got hoodwinked by an old game mod chasing clout while the media was looking for articles that would drive clicks?

I can't remember what year NCAA (maybe 03 or 04) but if you made a created player named "Manning" they would say the name.

I know they recorded a lot of names for the game but I always thought that was on the nose.

I’m sure they had it for Bush, Young, and a bunch of other big name players of the time because they only had like 300 or so last names for recruits back then.

They we’re usually what was on our roster and the home state was always correct

Also then we’re always the correct race.

But yeah the White Dual Threat QB from Florida wearing #15 for UF who had maybe the highest Truck rating in the game WASN'T Tim Tebow.

Same. My favorite entries in the franchise were ‘99, ‘02, and ‘07. The ‘11 version of the game was also pretty good because Alabama was unstoppable.

It also easily could have been "shotgun twin QB #15" and if you put the name of the player, it changes to his name (because #15 was his last name in the game).

Bruh the formation was called Shotgun Heavy. They never used Tebow’s name in the formation in the retail game. Why is this so hard to understand?

I know that. I'm saying that if there was a formation that had his name in it, or any players name in it, it's because it would say "twin shotgun heavy blah blah blah RB #15". I've seen that in that in college sports games before. Once you change the name, it can happen where it has the actually players name in the play, formation, etc.

They have literally never had that in any of their college football games. Hell Madden has only had one of those formation names and it was the Taysom Hill Slot formation.

These are rumors so take of it what you will:

Some bad things:
- No Road to Glory for the 1st game
- Gameplay is likely going to similar to Madden
- Much of the focus is going to not be on dynasty but a CFB version of MUT

Again it’s rumors but I don’t think it would shock anyone that EA would do these things.
