Don’t they release a new one of these every month or so?

While this is true I will say that the Modern Warfare series is a cut above the rest of the CODs

Wake me up when they go back to modern and close to current day weapons.

According to anonymous sources who spoke with Kotaku, the next Call of Duty could be the first in mainline franchise history to embrace a free-to-play model. Because the details are so vague, this could mean anything from a free-to-start or smaller base price buy-in à la Rainbow Six: Siege to being a full-on free-to-play title rife with user spending opportunities. Reportedly, this shift in monetization is being spurred by Activision's dissatisfaction with their long-term return on investment with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, wanting (as always) to better milk players beyond the initial purchase of the base game.

Black Ops 4 does that.

Wonder how many times “boots on the ground” will be mentioned this year

Call of Duty 4 is almost 12 years old. Games, and combat, have progressed a good bit since then.

Crazy that MW and MW2 are still worlds better than the crap they release these days. 12 years old and still superior

It’s just a new COD Ghosts title. Big deal. COD sucks. Somehow it makes a ton of money anyway tho

MW2, maybe. COD4 doesn't hold up.

Black ops 2 and 3 were better than MW2.

I'm telling ya. MW2 was extremely unbalanced. Noobtubes, dead man's hand, ACR, shite was broken. It was fun, but broken.
MW2 was a classic but I think people remember it more fondly than it was out of nostalgia. BO2 and BO3 were both really well balanced.
