Agreed. Dev says on his Twitter acct that he's looking into the possibility of a college version.

I am 10 seasons in, but still finding myself an interception-throwing machine. If the ball gets within 10 yards of a defender, it appears that they're going to get the pick.

Never ever underthrow your receivers or throw into double coverage. Dump off to RB or TE if WRs have DBs near them.

Also get two stud WRs ASAP. By far the most important position in the game. QB is number two.

I rarely throw INTs anymore with this strategy. One of my earlier seasons I threw 50 something picks

I was playing and having fun with it. Got offered to be the coach after winning the championship in season 2. Picked a team that was 4.5 stars on offense and 3.5 stars on defense.

Start of the next season, said team was 3 stars and 2 stars. Annoyed the frick out of me. No option to reload back - I had built up a terrible Buffalo team in just two years.

Might go back to it once that is no longer fresh in my mind, but it was drastically annoying.

Yeah, I have a pair of bookend 4.5* WRs and they make a huge difference. Same for a great RB.

I haven't found much value in a highly rated TE yet, but I wish they'd let you put 2 RBs in. Seems like I'm always dumping off to my slow-arse FB.

There's practically no point in a run game, either. The play is addictive, but I wish there were a little more under the hood with respect to the gameplay mechanics.

I'd love to run the ball to suck in the defense and keep them honest with respect to the passing game as a result.

Yeah. The only time I've used the run game is on a whim or when I am on the 2 or closer. Then I just dive for the end zone. My RB had over 1200 yards receiving I think and only 120 rushing.

Restarted my game based on this thread. The RB that came with the team is ridiculously strong. I've broken several tackles in one play. Even had a 65 yard rush play.

There's a frustrating lack of forward progress credited with tackles, too.

It's easily the most fun mobile game I've played since Fallout Shelter, so I'm certainly not knocking it. Just letting a little bit of football IRL get in my head.

I bought this game after reading this thread.

Some notes:

* I basically have Chad Pennington as my QB. Accurate af but max throwing distance is about 18 yards. As long as I can read the coverage correctly, I’m having no issue using him.

* I signed a max speed WR. He’s currently averaging 34ypc through 7 games with 1000+ yards and 15TDs and I’m not even trying to force feed him the ball. His catching is close to max too. I feel like I’m cheating

* Chose to draft a TE with my first round pick. He’s great at picking up yards against off coverage. He can slip behind LBs too. As others said in this thread, not a ton of benefit for having a great TE.

* My RB a 2* but he’s really good. Nice burst and seems to make dudes miss when juking. I could only imagine what it’s like having a beast RB.

* I’m playing under dynamic difficulty and it’s really easy 8 games in. Should I just bump it to hard?

Just downloaded it, great time killer at work. Don't know what y'all are smoking saying there's no point to running the ball. I started with a one star RB who's basically a slow as frick Marshawn Lynch, he breaks tackles left and right. Love that dude, plays with the heart of a ten star.

Developer keeps trying to improve it, which is fine. But it changes how you play the game each time.

RBs were decent, but were cheese when throwing because they were never defended. Then suddenly they would usually get some man coverage (and got slowed down at the same time( making them mostly useless, and now my RB has won MVP three years in a row.

Still really enjoy it.

A few updates ago a TE was essential for getting open over the middle and the WR were better covered. Especially until you could get a QB with a stronger arm. But they are no longer necessary.

I have noticed that when you get a play all for RB offtackle left side on a 2PT conversion try, 90% of the time your RB is untouched.

Getting a high star RB seems to make you undefeatable. It’s way cheese by just throwing to him as soon as the play starts. I average about 6 ypc and make the 2PT probably more than 90%. I dumped my kicker.

When my QB is accurate enough to arc it over the LB's head, I can pass to the RB most of the time. He's a bad dude.
