It’s also an EA title... The initial trailer looked damn good, but EA could easily take a dump on this game.

My childhood friend is on the art team of this game. She's always been tough on EA stage she is saying this game is going to be great.
She's a legit source and a good judge of games so that gives me hope

Yes, it’s technically an EA game but it’s being developed by Respawn who has a stellar track record of making good, quality games. The first thing they stated when announcing the game was “no micro transactions” and it’s a single player only, story driven game.

Totally agree. Titanfall 1 is where I became a fan of them and have loved the other games they've made since.
Vince Zampella and many of the current Respawn crew also made Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 1 & 2. Not my cup of tea but those are considered classic FPS.

Titanfall 2 had a horrible release date and got lost in between Battlefield 1 and COD IW (launched with COD4 Remastered). Didn't stand a chance, but was by far the better shooter out of all of those. PLUS, it had a really fun campaign with some great moments.

Definitely. I got into BF1 hardcore and IW won me over with COD4.

Read the Kotaku story on Anthem and know that Zampella would never go for any of that. Bioware had issues ongoing for years that bubbled up to the breaking point. Pressure from EA didn't help matters. Respawn is in a really good place and until we see otherwise, I will give them the benefit of the doubt.
