re: Reset Era (suspect) leaks regarding FF9 Remake

Bioshock 4 was revealed in a tweet by the studio themselves years ago but theyve been mum since. (I mentioned a possible cancelation)

Lol youre just the smartest man alive who knew every game that would come remake or new IP years in advance. Also youre glossing over the code names and project names facit of the list likely because youre too lazy to google them to find out what they became which is why you chose two actual confirmed examples.

You also ignored the anime tie in because it is in line with their way of handling ff7 and the company themselves has fricking put out confirmation of it im not going to hold your hand throughout your entire life you have to leave the nest eventually. Its a netflix deal.

Have you even looked into the memoria project, what it was who made it and how it inspired SQ to consider this?

Anime series confirmed in 2021 by SQ being made alongside a french animation studio. You still havent mentioned a game on that list that wasnt made, isnt in production, or wasnt at a point said to be in production. You also couldnt find the first google search I just linked into this thread. Nor be bothered to research anything about the topic of the thread so since ive thoroughly debunked you Id say your addition to this thread is completely without merit no offense as I find you a great poster normally.

Youll also notice I have labeled the thread leaks and suspect although its mine and the majority of the communities belief FF9 remake will eventually materialize in some form it is a 95% conclusion not a 100%. Things shift in game dev and things get cancelled.

He’s talking about the same leak you posted in the op. He also makes sure to specify it’s a rumor and could only find an article about it on ign Italy.

I'm in the vast minority, but I didn't really care for IX. I loved VII and honestly I loved VIII even more because I actually played it right before I played VII so I wasn't trying to compare them. But the character model types going back to the more cartooney style just didn't do it for me. I played it 100% and thought it was a decent game especially endgame content (I've still got slight PTSD from the Ozma fight) but it wasn't among my favorites by any stretch.

Would I play a remake? Probably. But I honestly would greatly prefer a total remake of VIII.

Regardless, I do like that a lot of these classics are getting drastic makeovers. As long as SE can swing it without detracting from development of new titles, I support it.

I would splooge if they announced a full remake of 4. I won't even lie. Imagining the underworld, the moon and the Red Wings battle with modernized console graphics is a pretty exciting thought. A reimagined Mist area could be the most ethereal looking area in any FF title thus far.
