Jump fest was ok for a while, the riding simulator was boring, still playing the shitty NPC driving sim.

I had 3 crashes on the first day, but seems to be running fine now. I'm having a lot of fun with this game. Worth the wait.

After getting about halfway through the story and then a bit of learning the ropes in Online, I'm now on day 24 streak of Daily Challenges earning 0.5 gold per daily task. Maxxed out all 3 Online Roles (Rank 20 Bounty Hunter, Collector, Trader) with the rank 20 ponies from those, the 3 wagons (hunting, large trading, and bounty hunter prison wagon) around $3500 cash and close to 150 gold bars.

Now I just putz around doing whatever trips my trigger. One day I rode around on the top of the train killing everyone I saw. Got zero bounty or negative rating for it. I always stop and kill the lippy npc's that ride by. I'll spare the camp leaders then shoot them in the head as they leave to loot the corpse and get the release reward both.

How are you handling controls on PC? I wanted to go GTAV style and use KB/M for shooting parts, and controller for horseback, but then you have shootouts on horseback... so all KB/M? Does it feel good?

All KB/M. Remapped some keys just because of fat fingering a lot.

Like for fishing I swapped R for reeling speed to R-Alt so I quit releasing fish fat fingering the E.

Later this week I plan to remap the numbers so instead of 1=right hand 2 = dual wield 3= left hand 5 = rope 6 =back weapon 7 = melee 8= shoulder to be more like dual wield, rifle, shotgun, machete, rope

The "feel" kinda varies due to updates and apparently locations on the map. It's like lag built into some of NE part of map where hit say mount key then it's 3,2,1 mount happens, hit the Lshift to accelerate/sprint and 3,2,1, sprint where by Violentine E and you're mounted, Lshift and hold on buddy.

Also see a lot of aim/fire/hit delay on hunting animals. Don't know but what that is internet related though since aiming head shots on feeding deer at distance. But still seeing a lot of POW! 3,2,1 deer runs instead of other times pow!/deer runs.

Horseback shootouts can suck severely depending on your mount. Spooked mount = tons of aiming difficulty.

ETA: Remapping that R to R-Alt for fishing paid off. Just won my 3rd Fishing Tournament in a row!

It's already 20% off on Steam for a couple days.. I refunded it choosing the option 'Now Available Cheaper' and Steam honored it.. so I plan to buy it again today for $47.99 and pocket $12.

But I also hear it has problems with i5 CPUs and I have a i5-9600K (with a RTX 2070 and 16GB DDR4 3000Mhz). I also just got a new monitor - 1440p 144Hz coming Monday. So I have no idea if I should even buy this game again right now...

I’m already well over 2 hours so I was pretty pissed to see it go on a decent sale barely a week after release. That’s shitty af.

Yeah. Because Epic can’t do much of anything.

I was drunk af Friday night and used $10 to get a Rainbow Six Siege elite skin.

No big loss for you though.. at least you're enjoying the game right?

I haven't started RDR2 yet on PC.. but did just set my new monitor up yesterday. Probably gonna have to settle for 60 FPS if I want decent settings to run this at 1440p on my i5-9600K. A bit worried to try it out...

Wait a little longer. This Moonshiner Role introduction update really screwed the pooch.

PC players get infinite loading screen if they spend in-game money to make moonshine and set out on the delivery mission. And if that's not bad enough, there's only a few locations to set up the shine business so the griefers have those camped to immediately blow up any loads of shine that do make it past the infinite loading glitch.

Plus there's a lot of other role missions suffering from "your posse abandoned the mission" failures, even when solo. Has happened to me in both Trader and Bounty Hunter.

And then to top it off, the animal spawns glitch and the entire map will be devoid of animals to hunt.

So there's boatloads of new glitches to add to the unrepaired old ones. It's damned near unplayable at times now.

Not just PC players. This update brought glitches to everyone. I got multiple infinite loading screens last night on xbox.

Was causing a lot of camp issues as well.
