that mobo is tempting at 30 dollars cheaper than the asus i picked, but I like the idea of built in wifi.
IDK why you would ever use built in WiFi. That is VERY situational.
If you need it you need it, if you don't you don't Catch my drift?
I can't complain once about any ASRock board previously owned. I put them up there with ASUS, MSI and Intel boards.

I would either go with Samsung or Patriot RAM. Although RAM is RAM these days.
Truth RAM is RAM. Tests/studies have been done that anything after 1333mhz or 1600mhz there is virtually no performance increase (unless you are an extreme benchmarker). I have a pair of 4GB Samsung low profile in my home server. Great stuff.
In my gaming PC I have 16GB (4x4GB) Patriot Viper 3.
If I would give a hierarchy of RAM today listed by dependability it would follow as:
1. Samsung (30NM low profile)
2. Patriot (Any)
3. Kingston (Hyper-X)
4. G-Skill (Any)
5. Corsair (Had lots of trouble with OC'ing and boot problems w/ Vengeance RAM)

I hear you man, but right now I live at my parents and don't have good access to the router so I may be running off wifi for a bit. I also am going to be moving in the near future so wifi may be beneficial. I just feel like I would rather pay the 30 bucks now than have to add a wifi dongle or wifi repeater.
There seems to be a lot of controversy over how best to cool the IB processors. The enthusiasts pretty much shite on anything that is not an open liquid system. The average OCers seems to think higher end air systems and closed loop liquid systems are sufficient. The 212 evo seems to be pretty highly rated for the average user and is very cheap compared to other options. I don't feel like I can go wrong with a 35 dollar heatsink and an extra fan to start out. I figure if I get to the point where I really NEED that big OC I will spring for a custom liquid system. Sound like a decent plan?
Have I chosen a GPU that is on par with the rest of my components? I didn't want to skimp on the GPU but if yall think it is overkill I may reconsider.
still waiting on pics of your computer coyote.

About OC'ing for gaming.
Your CPU wont be your bottleneck if you are runnign a single or 2-way SLi/CF setup. Just do a modest OC and be done with it.
Water as you know, can get pricey for a custom system. I have a Zalman 9900MAX with a 135mm fan. Love it and none of the CPU cores get over 45C @ a 4.3 OC on my 3570K. That is at load or during gaming.
I suggest going with a D14, although those brown fans do suck. Noctura fans are just so quiet!

Will post tonight. When I got home from work I crashed yesterday, had a terrible sinus headache.
I just did my first sleeving job on the main rig. Purchased a heat gun and all from Amazon. It came out "alright". Single braided cables are much easier to work with in the case.

from what i've been seeing on forums, the 212 evo achieves around 4.3 ghz at like 1.24 volts running prime with temps in the 60s. Some people are getting stable 4.7 at 1.3 volts out of the 3770s. I think I might get the d14 and shoot for a good stable 4.5 out of 3570. Only thing is that sucker is HUGE. I would have to take one of the shitty side fan mounts off the antec 900 to fit it.
I have seen it oriented to where it vents out of the top toward the 200mm fan or toward the back out of a 120mm fan. Considering that the vertical orientation will be pulling from off the GPU, which orientation would be better? The horizontal orientation would maybe run more air over the ram, but I would like to maximize the use of that 200mm fan. Hard to know.

The obvious question is, if you are spending all this money on your build why not used it to move out of your parents?
Just kidding of course, I had to do it for a time due to family health issues and that's how I ended up back in the hell hole Missouri.

Wow, those macho's are huge.
You keep your rigs on the floor? Always put mine up off the ground to limit dusk.
ETA:
Geaux is that PSU fully modular? Nice management.
I have been sick all week and crashing when I get home. Will get some pics of the home server and gaming rig no later then Friday night.

Core I5 3570k
GTX 680 -- Thinking about adding another one just for giggles.
Antec P280 Case
The PSU is fully modular.
Yes. The Macho is MASSIVE. It actually just touches the side panel when you close it.
Yes I always put mine on the floor. Have never has a big issue with dust. This one has a front dust filter I clean every few weeks.

It is pretty much useless anyway unless you are doing multi monitors set ups as you probably know.
IDK what your set up is like. Probably just 1 27"?

Yes, I run multi monitor set ups. Not exactly 1k but like 900. Not that bad.
Sorry for the poor quality, lighting is terrible in my home office.
This is my Home Server below.
2x2TB WD REDs in RAID 10 with a 128 Vertex 3 for Boot Up. Currently on the floor in my office because me and the SO are starting construction on our first home.
Main Rig: Corsair 650D
3570K @ 4.3
ASRock Z77 Extreme6
16GB Viper 3 @ 2333mhz
2x GTX670 4GB
256GB OCZ Vertex 4 SSD
240GB OCZ Agility 4 SSD
500GB WD VelociRaptor HDD
Server: Fractal Design Define Mini
FX4100 @ 4.5
MSI 880GMS Micro
8GB G-Skill Ripjaws
XFX HD6450
128 OCZ Vertex 3 SSD
RAID 10 2x2TB WD Reds
As for my home server I only use it as photo storage. I'm interested into hosting a vent/mumble server for TD, but only with the right amount of participation.
