On a serious note. You still game a lot. Just not as much as you or we are accustomed to you gaming. Be thankful. It could be worse.

it’ll ease up after a couple years.

Mine hated gaming for 2-3 years, now realizes I like my time on my own and so does she. Just gotta keep it balanced. I spend all afternoon / night with her 3-4 nights a week. Then the other nights I stay up gaming til 11 or so.

Im fortunate ma lady also likes to game. She is usually tits deep into the switch when I get home, but she does like an hour and a half of time to eat and watch some shows before she passes out. Weekends I usually need to take her out to do something for a couple of hours before she gets tired of people and wishes to return home and its pretty wide open from there.

Yeah, I've been married for goddamn ever. We just do whatever now. I play whenever I want unless it's a date night or something. She is starting to invade the man cave now that I moved the old Nintendos in there...

I think my gf would slit her throat before she tried picking up a controller . She doesn’t even like me talking about it with her friend’s bf’s or anything. She thinks it’s some crazy thing nobody does.

It was somewhat a big rift early on in our relationship, but I eventually told her that it’s one of my biggest hobbies and I wouldn’t stop doing it and if that bothered her we should just stop dating then and there. Been together close to three years now.

You are right that you need to find a balance though. I only really drive her crazy now like if a new game comes out and I marathon it for a few days.

I envy you guys who have a gf who likes to play. That would be interesting for sure.

My GF calls me a nerd when I start playing video games and I just go on playing

I think Jack Box Party is the closest she'll ever get to gaming

i think our women would probably bond over this. we should start a "My husband/boyfriend/fiance is a gamer" club.

mine still calls me a nerd all the time when she walks in and asks what i'm playing and try to explain it to her. She did give playing Minecraft and Rocket League a fair go once. After a few days, she said it bored her to tears but she was doing it because she knew it would make me happy. I told her, don't do that. Just understand this is one of my many hobbies. And of all the hobbies a man can have this is one of the cheaper ones and one that will keep me at home. Not at a bar. Not out with the boys. Not in a position where another woman could try anything. At home, a room away from you. I think she got it at that point.

But yeah, having a wife/gf that loved to game would be fricking awesome.
