This trend of game devs completely selling out for micro-transactions is really really getting old
It kind of sucks, but if you think about the reality of game development cycles and the fact that we are paying even less for games than we were 20 years ago, can you really blame them?
IF they can make them all cosmetic or at least things you can get just by playing the game the regular way, I couldn't care less. If people want to fork out their own cash to get a gun or sword quicker, and it doesn't give a competitive edge in a MP setting, more power to them.
I remember paying $10 or something for the vehicle unlock pack for BF3 on PC, mainly because when I finally got into flying in that game, I couldn't stay in the air for more than a few seconds before I got brought down. There was going to be no learning curve for me to figure out how to be a good pilot when some 100 colonel was going to fart and bring me to the ground.

Forgive me for sounding bitter. PUBG has the potential to be one of the best video games in history as far as I am concerned.
You know what other game had that same potential? DayZ. And six years later, still waiting on the completed version of that game. And all the signs keep piling up for the same exact scenario unfolding all over again, only this time its dressed up as a "full release" rather than the broken beta it actually is.
And I still plan on playing it for another 1200 hours

I know you played the shite out of both of them, but isn't PUBG more a phenomenon than DayZ was? I'd want to guess there would be even more incentive to see this one to the end, but what do I know.

If DayZ played as smoothly as PUBG, I’d never play another game. PUBG is a rush to win, and it has an end game feature that DayZ doesn’t, but absolutely nothing touches the adrenaline shot of PVP combat on DayZ. Which is why I’m still stoked for the DayZ BETA six years and counting.

I appreciate your enthusiasm. Thanks for not answering my question

Yes, for everyone else. Much, much bigger hit. Guess more people would be on board with seeing this one out, but I'd imagine most will do the same as almost everyone did for DayZ, get tired of the runaround and move on to the new best game available.

Has anyone mentioned the net code and piss poor optimization? I honestly have no idea how could have this game to run at 1080p@60fps on Xbox.

Deadmau killed him in a stream and then called him out during a concert. Taking over the world.

If the xboners end up in the same servers as the PC guys then it could get really ugly. Will it be cross plat?

I think I saw a tweet a few days ago saying that was their eventual goal. Or at least they would like to do that.

I don't play, but from what I've heard (from giantbomb podcast) it's not super glitchy, but there's been a huge wave of hackers/aimbotters in the past few weeks.

cant be worse than the Fortnite lagfest. it's gotten so bad after the halloween update that I hardly want to play it

I haven’t noticed any more or less lag in the game over the last week than I did when I got the game, so I can’t really comment on that.
It isn't a ps4 thing. Apparently the xbox version of Fortnite has really bad lag spikes.

Fortnite lag spikes are terrible at times on Xbox.
With that said, I’ve only played PUBG a few times and I never experienced any truely bad lag but my sample size is maybe 20 matches tops. Granted I’m relating it to DayZ play on a min spec pc so I don’t know if latency lag can top that.
It’s going to be a huge success after the initial server crashing with every “big” game launch. The fact that it’s going to be 30$ makes it even easier to take a few hits for small issues.
