Yeah, he's King Joffrey but I don't acknowledge him as my king.

ETA: Just started S3. Khaleesi and dem dragons, tho. And I like the Whitewalkers...they're cool.

I really keep confusing a lot of characters still. I feel like they recycle old guys with beards and middle aged guys with long hair that can handle a sword.

ETA 2.0: I still hate dragons in video games, though. And can somebody explain what the hell that black ghost thing was that only was in like one episode?

I used to go to game of thrones wikia and read each episode summary the day after I watched it. It's good toilet material and helps you to remember characters and who they're related to

Reading the books now, I have a hard time remembering some of the faces of the old characters to be able to tie them to their book character, especially if they haven't been on the show for a few seasons.

Was this related to the red headed preistess that was hooking up with Stannis? I don't want to possibly spoil anything so just asking to be sure.

Eta: it was season 2

Basically the red preistess needed kings blood to father this "shadow" that can complete a task for her once she births it.

I just read about it but I barely remember the details from watching it. I think it was a one time deal...so far.

I don't think she's the devil but she worships different gods. I.e. The lord of the light

The guy she killed is Renly, who is Stannis and King Roberts brother.

They wanted him dead because he was also making a claim to the throne.

So, help me out here. There is one king, right? And all these places like King's Landing, Pike, Qarth, Winterfell, etc...what are those? Are they kingdoms with their own local king but they also serve the one true king of them all (Joffrey, for right now)?

They are part of the 7 kingdoms that are ruled by one King

Each area has a "lord" or "warden" I guess. Not sure which term. They weren't technically kings, think of them as governors I guess.

The land across the sea is not included though. Those are the free cities and some other shite outside of the 7 kingdoms.

Those individual (7) kingdoms under Joffrey's rule are now taking sides with different "would be" kings which is all a part of the "game"

I'm not sure I know what these lands are...is this where the wildlings live?

And is the wall what separates the Whitewalkers from the rest of the 7 kingdoms?
