Good point. It's all about networking in IT (I know you like that pun).

I'm gonna rant for a bit, and I know I will get some rolled eyes out of a certain one or two individuals in this thread. But hear me out...
I was in Wisconsin over the weekend. I was in Phoenix a few months ago. I've been to some nice areas of Florida and Texas. I'm not well traveled, but I have been out and about a lot more this past year than ever in life. Anyway, as I was driving through Kenosha, I got really mad. I saw green grass, freshly manicured lawn areas in public spaces, clean streets, highways and bridges that aren't their very own rollecoasters, and no traffic. The highways were 4 or 5 lanes wide in one direction. The bridges were maintained. The city halls were well kept and clean (at least on the surface). And then I thought about my paycheck and the taxes that get taken out every two weeks and this goddamn filthy dump of a state we live in. Trash everywhere. We can't get a highway project completed within half a decade. We have one river crossing in this fricking city and the traffic is unbearable. There is little to no reliable, safe public transportation. Bums everywhere. Welfare hands out everywhere.
Look, I know that some of you guys think I'm probably full of shite but I really did get upset. I love where I'm from and I wouldn't change that about me one bit. I'm proud of my hometown and where I went to school and got my education. But this state needs to do a better job of having pride in itself and do something about our crumbling infrastructure, welfare status and inability to get things done.
I know, I know...RAH RAH RAH GUMBO MARDI GRAS VOODOO CULTURE CRAWFISH KING CAKE...that's all booshit, booshit, booshit because we live in a dump.
