Is it like baseball where the home team always gets a chance to comeback or something? Like, did they give the Swiss a possession, kind of like the bottom of an inning for the home team?

They almost tied it twice in the last 2 mins

That's why I think it's extra time. Not watching, though.

Its not a golden goal rule. Super hard to comprehend.

Football has a "golden goal". Who(m)ever scores first, wins. Soccer is timed regardless of how many goals there are.

Ah. I actually don't like the sudden death part of football overtime. I think both teams should get possession. But the possessions in football are much more controlled than soccer. I guess the timed part makes perfect sense.

They do? Did they change the rules recently? I'm a fan of how the NCAA does overtime.

If the first possession results in a field goal, the other team gets a chance to match it
Touchdown ends it no matter what though
This began in the 2012 season I believe

Yes, but it was introduced in the 2010 playoffs. The Saints beat the Minnesota Favres in the NFCCG and he didn't get a chance to tie it. They changed it the next offseason. Its a Saints Talk conspiracy theory.

I am too, and I don't understand the hate it gets. "They don't play the rest of the game like that, why settle it that way?" They had Lalas on M&M yesterday, and as far as penalty kicks in soccer, it may be different, but it's part of the game, and you train for it. No one has an excuse. Same thing for college ball.
