Is it a different situation if you indicate it's work related, or is that their policy in general? I would imagine this would be good news to someone trying to flee the country in a hurry.

you have to submit proof of travel in the form of a ticket/itinerary or a letter from employer
im not sure what will happen, my appt is tomorrow

You can go to New Orleans and get them same day. There are some 3rd party places in BR to get them in a day or two
