FTR, I never had any problems with COX. Any problems they've always fixed. My bill is pretty stupid though.

Meezy has U-verse - he's raved on it. The downside with DirectTV - you have to get internet from somewhere.

that's the only reason i'm even considering going with someone else. Had it at the old house and never had a problem.

I had less problems during a thunderstorm with my Direct TV picture compared to cox. A shower comes through and the cable picture is fricked up. Same thing with Charter in Thibodaux. In-laws/parents have infinite more trouble compared to what i had with Direct. Guess it depends on your area

I never had a problem with Cox except their price. I switched to u-verse cause they cut $80 off my bill plus I got all the movie channels.

only temporarily you should add

once the introductory period is over, the prices were very close to the same

if its cheaper, its not 80 bucks cheaper

but does U-Verse have Cox Sports??

eta: i know directv doesn't. i was going to switch, but i enjoy having Cox Sports.

eta2: Cox is expensive though. i pay about $115-$120 for internet, standard tv, DVR, and HD channels. NO HBO and such unfortunately

it's not that great. Unless you REALLY like catching the LSU replay or Hornets game.

LSU replays are nice during the offseason. But that's about it.
