I would like to know what other Xbox One X owners bought a Series X and what their thoughts are.
I am feeling that I may have been fine sticking with the One X for a bit. I really enjoy the speediness, but the extra seconds isnt that big of difference to me. I am playing through a bunch of the xbox game pass, which i had been doing for the last month, so that doesnt really change. Even the controller isn't an upgrade as I own one of the elite controllers. Fast resume once again, is great, but not a "wow" to me.
Trust me if I can sell my One X at a reasonable return, I will be happy with this upgrade and the future. I just hoped for ANY type of meaningful difference from my One experience (yes... loading times...).
Just my take so far.

Well I had an OG XBONE and this is a welcomed change to how slow that thing was. But it’ll be a year or so before they stop developing for both generations of consoles.

My first new experience with Xbox.
System is dead quiet. Historical note: first game I ever played on XSX is Jedi Fallen Order. Game is alright. Download speeds blows Sony out of the water (at least vs PS4). UI is simple to use but not nearly as elegant as PS3/4. Gamepass seems awesome, but probably only one or two old games I’ll play. If they keep pumping out new games on it, I’ll probably use XSX quite often. All in all, XSX is solid. No ragerts.
The only real downside is the stock controller is arse. It’s awful. Clickety-clack buttons and dpad. Feels like a shitty 3rd party controller you find at WalMart. Thankfully I have an old XBox controller I used for PC that’s way way way better. As big as XBox and their fans talk up the controllers over the Dualshock, I’m shocked it’s this bad.

I didnt even unwrap the controller. I heard its the same as the normal One controller with some rubbery surface like my elite version.
If this is the jumping on point to a gamer, i think this is a great purchase. As a One X owner, not seeing the reason to upgrade yet.

It’s smaller/more ergonomic and was hidden in the box, at first I swore I got jipped and didn’t have cords or controller... I prefer this new controller and I’ve had Xbox for 20 years since the original

I would agree if for no other reason, there aren’t any “next-gen” titles on XSX.
Loading times has never been a big deal to me. It’s nice to be faster, but it’s not like Witcher 3 is a brand new experience because you load into Velen 15 seconds faster.

With the stable of Xbox studios, it is amazing we are in this situation.
ETA: Just downloaded and started Valhalla. OK I can see where this is going and its beautiful. FPS's are butter and beautiful visuals. Not sure what the AC thread is talking about. Maybe they arent running on the Series X.

Does anyone have any feed back on the 1440 @ 120hz? Was going to upgrade from my basic low end 4k monitor to get one that has the 120hz option at 2k

Waiting on some feedback on this as well
1440/120 seems to be the sweet spot, just need some honest opinions on gameplay at those settings

1440/120 should be what every consoler is doing
frames > resolution
frames > resolution

It all depends on if a game locks the FPS right? AC looks tremendous with the 4k 60hz. I guess I should switch it to 120 to see the difference? Maybe I am blind but I had already switched between the two on other games and couldnt even tell a difference.

it's not as big a deal for games like AC, but anything competitive, shooters, or anything that requires quick response time will be far better with higher framerates.
you may have to tweak your settings on your TV or console, I refuse to believe that anyone cant tell the difference between 60 and 120. It's massive

For those that have Game Pass Ultimate with EA Play, do I have to own a past game from EA to be able to play the BC version or do I get access to all the games on the list with the subscription?

Nope, it's just like Game Pass. You just download whatever you want to play. Just downloaded Dante's Inferno and I've definitely never owned that game

AC Valhalla just downloaded in 25 minutes on mine. At 250 mbps. Was getting about 10 mbps on my XBone
