Wonder how that will play if you up settings to 1440/120

Or if it even supports it. Looking for a new monitor with those two, hoping Black Friday will have a nice deal.

The installation speed on xbone is note worthy. I downloaded Warzone and the new AC within 2 hours.

My TV supports 1440 at 120 or 4k at 60. It comes down to the HDMI version.

Have you tried Warzone after setting series X to 1440/120?

Just about to hook my one x back up to see differences I can find.

Really need these setup side to side.

So is it worth the purchase? Wanted to wait to see what people said about them before jumping to get a new console.

I’m waiting as well. Will have to upgrade my 1080p/75hz monitor as well, so just need to make sure the jump is worth the investment or maybe wait and do a big CPU build upgrade.

Depends on what you have currently. Have an Xbox one x? Only a PS?

I wouldn’t call the speed of loading a game changer. A welcome addition? Absolutely. The FPS’s are smooth but I am trying to figure out if it was always this smooth or if it’s new.

When you load up the first time it takes you to the exact same screen as your Xbox One which wasn’t a very exciting moment.

I assume most games will release patches to fully optimize the hardware.

My high end tv does look great but it’s hard for me to tell a huge difference other than load speed.

They will be able to do a lot with this hardware, but we are in an odd console period of running older games.

Agreed. Very underwhelming.

Same

Probably doesn't help that outside of Remnant, I've been checking out my backlog of 360 games. Prooooobably could have stuck with my One X, but I'm hoping I notice a difference once I start playing newer releases. For example, I'm curious how much of a difference the Series X patch for Maneater will make.

we aren't gonna see much in the way of innovation until true next gen titles come out

bummer about the first point though. a lot of reviewers mentioned similar

quote:

"One of our main complaints about the Xbox Series X is that it just doesn’t feel like a new console... The dashboard is the same, the controller is virtually the same, and all the games are the same as those that are already out. The PlayStation 5 though is the exact opposite, in that it is clearly very different from the PlayStation 4, while still maintaining backwards compatibility..."

"The PS5 is an impressive console and while many of its features, such as fast loading and the ability to run games at native 4K or 60fps, are replicated by the Xbox Series X - the superior games line-up and the new features of the DualSense stand above anything Microsoft is offering so far."

I'm curious to see whether the Series S winds up holding back the offerings for the Series X. Must be a pain for devs to have to build three versions of a game (i.e. Xbox One, Series S, and Series X).

So, even though for now the Series X is more like a "One X Pro," I still love the slightly updated controller and I'm very excited to see what they do with the hardware going forward.

You will not be playing games at 4k 120 FPS this gen. It just won't happen. I would not sweat it. Not AAA demanding games at least.

The amount I paid for my tv makes me want it futureproof until 2036
