The installation speed on xbone is note worthy. I downloaded Warzone and the new AC within 2 hours.
Depends on what you have currently. Have an Xbox one x? Only a PS?
I wouldn’t call the speed of loading a game changer. A welcome addition? Absolutely. The FPS’s are smooth but I am trying to figure out if it was always this smooth or if it’s new.
When you load up the first time it takes you to the exact same screen as your Xbox One which wasn’t a very exciting moment.
I assume most games will release patches to fully optimize the hardware.
My high end tv does look great but it’s hard for me to tell a huge difference other than load speed.
They will be able to do a lot with this hardware, but we are in an odd console period of running older games.

Agreed. Very underwhelming.

Same

Probably doesn't help that outside of Remnant, I've been checking out my backlog of 360 games. Prooooobably could have stuck with my One X, but I'm hoping I notice a difference once I start playing newer releases. For example, I'm curious how much of a difference the Series X patch for Maneater will make.

we aren't gonna see much in the way of innovation until true next gen titles come out
bummer about the first point though. a lot of reviewers mentioned similar

"One of our main complaints about the Xbox Series X is that it just doesn’t feel like a new console... The dashboard is the same, the controller is virtually the same, and all the games are the same as those that are already out. The PlayStation 5 though is the exact opposite, in that it is clearly very different from the PlayStation 4, while still maintaining backwards compatibility..."
"The PS5 is an impressive console and while many of its features, such as fast loading and the ability to run games at native 4K or 60fps, are replicated by the Xbox Series X - the superior games line-up and the new features of the DualSense stand above anything Microsoft is offering so far."

I'm curious to see whether the Series S winds up holding back the offerings for the Series X. Must be a pain for devs to have to build three versions of a game (i.e. Xbox One, Series S, and Series X).
So, even though for now the Series X is more like a "One X Pro," I still love the slightly updated controller and I'm very excited to see what they do with the hardware going forward.

this.
probably not even next gen either, unless console GPUs start using DLSS or similar tech

Xbox got here an hour ago while I was cleaning out my old PS3. Newegg came through.
