Anyone else checking it out tonight when it unlocks at midnight?

Apparently the story is actually good if not a bit cliche about rogue AI

The only negative comment I saw that jumped out at mf was someone saying there was almost no challenge.

I'm not sure if it has difficulty settlings but if it does that might be a sign to pick the hardest one even if you don't normally do.

Only Normal and Casual on first playthrough. Like some other Capcom games, you unlock a higher difficulty after your first playthrough.

In practice, this means I play on normal only. I rarely have time to play through a game twice.

Just rolled credits. Made an attempt to try to get every single collectible in all areas do all red zones and get all 3 prizes in each training stage. I didnt reach all of those goals especially in training but came in at 25 hours.

The game is really really good imo, it’s not some bloated AAA nightmare and actually has a post game to it. An absolute shite ton of skins you actually earn in game and a lot more

I’d describe the games combat in particular which is the main draw outside of the story which I’d say was pretty good as very high skill ceiling but a pretty easy to land at floor that will carry you through the game on standard if you aren’t inclined to get gud. It’s got a lot of DMC inspired game design and even some souls in there.

Most importantly because it is not 200 hours long the game is introducing new mechanics or weapons and new enemies to the literal end of the game. It has a massive amount of substance to it

For lack of a better phrase it feels like a video game or something a bit more arcade and I love that.

Overall it gets an 8/10 imo which was much better than I expected due to the very long dev cycle

Game looks amazing, and is totally on my radar. But. . .

Have you guys seen how this game is making pedophiles out themselves?

Saw something vaguely about this earlier

We can never just have nice fun things without freaks ruining it in gaming it seems. I just tried to not look to much into it and focused on finishing the game

Keep an eye on them yes, allow them to spread their poison no at least imo.

As I said above though the game is fricking great. Big recommend from me.

Just know going in it’s very much a capcom game of their recent era. High substance, minimal to no bloat, lean run time, big on replay ability.

This time though the combat does have objective skill levels and heights you can reach unlike say resident evil if you’re so inclined

I’ve had a few crashes on pc in the shelter when making upgrades but turning off path tracing seemed to mitigate most of that issue.

Aside from that, I can’t say anything negative about my experience thus far. It’s nothing groundbreaking but it’s a well done competent action/sci fi game.

I’ve heard it described as “dad space” and I’d call that accurate. No body horror like dead space but similar vibes in terms of setting aside from that.

Loved that place because the thrusters were still frustrating me while i was getting used to them at that point and the lack of gravity makes them way easier to platform with

Thats probably roughly about halfway through the campaign more or less.

I was just pleasantly surprised that I liked this game as much as I have so far.

The trailers Capcom put out didn’t grab me at all. Some of the last minute previews/hype right before launch grabbed my attention.

A new AAA ip that isn’t dogshit and seemingly sticks the landing on its first iteration is a breath of fresh air.

I might be enjoying this more than requiem. Need to finish before I can say for certain.

I just finished and if we are going to make an re9 comparison i will say that Pragmata is definitely a more consistent game. It sets its quality bar at the beginning and never goes below that bar for substandard sections which i feel RE9 did

I am also someone who likes really deep and complex combat mechanics which this game has a lot of so I find that appealing.

I also feel like RE9 like every RE game runs out of steam about 70% of the way through. IMO pragmata does not. It keeps introducing new things be they enemies weapons mechanics abilities to let you backtrack metroidvania style for items in previous levels you couldnt get at first that also double as purposeful in combat etc. right until the final boss

Its sitting overwhelmingly positive on steam with over 4000 reviews last I saw. Hit 70k concurrent players

Capcom is on a legendary run right now where they just cant miss

I pray this sends a message to the rest of the industry along with expedition 33 new IPs actually can be made

The latter half of the training missions are no joke. Just want to get some extra cabin coins and they’ve got me wanting to huck my controller across the room.

Yeah i got 100% of all the collectibles in all areas and did all red zones

I at least got level 1 of all 30 training sims but theres a lot i didnt even get to level 2 on lol

Btw I wasnt lying when I said this has a post game or an end game if you will. An entire new area of the map opens up after you complete the game

It also has traditional new game plus and also lunatic difficulty unlocks which can only be done one a fresh run with much much stronger enemies, enemy layouts are different and much trickier

To compensate for this though basically everything in the shelters station where your gun upgrades are is unlocked from the opening of the game. All the guns all the hacks etc along with a new melee weapon you only get after beating the game

You still have to pay to buy them and upgrade them though to be clear they’re just all available from the jump

I restarted Cyberpunk, but I think I’ll get this since it’s a pretty quick playthrough.

Me and you usually have really similar taste in games.

I really love it so you likely will too. If you just want to speed run the campaign you can likely do it in an RE time frame of 9-12 hours but like i said in my first post after finishing if you want to try to go for `100% of all content like i did i came in at 25 hours. Then there is the end game stuff I mentioned above
