Potential dumb question, but how can i resell my Xbox One S with a downloaded game?

I bought the Battlefield 1 version last year, and that came with the download code.
I've decided I'm going to sell the Xbone S and get the Xbox X. I obviously want to reset the Xbox to factory settings to erase personal data, but how can i do that and give the game to the buyer?
Also, if i choose to keep Battlefield 1, how do i transfer it to the new Xbox X? Surely there's an easier way to transfer than copying to an external drive and then uploading on the new Xbox. Sorry if these are dumb questions, but I rarely play games.

Pretty sure the game is tied to your XBL account, so you're stuck with it

ok good to know. I was just thinking if i sold it on craigslist to an actual person, instead of a store, that it would be nice for them to have the game too. That said I don't mind hanging on to it.
So when I log into my xbox account on the new device I'll be given an option to download Battlefield 1 again? Is that how it works?

Just make sure to delete your account of the XBOX before giving it to him. But yes downloaded games stick with the XBL profile.
Even to the point to say you got COD WW2 on your Xbox One S.. then later bought the Xbox one X.. you could download WW2 on your new X for free

This is how they get you with downloaded games. Yea you can play on anyone’s Xbox. But there’s no way to sell your game without selling your Live account
