I'm tired of community mods and VR only HL games.
Beginning to get a little pissed at Valve.

I used to not understand the extreme reluctance to release Half Life 3, but now that I've seen so many fanbases turn toxic as hell (sometimes correctly sometimes not) on long awaited sequels, I completely understand it. It'd make money, but there's no way people would be happy because perfection is just not feasible.

You're becoming the new dourden.

Are you insulting Portal 2?

portal 2 was fine, just not as good as 1
1 had the perfect length, design, humor, etc.
2 had too many mechanics and really started to drag for me, plus I got really sick of wheatley and glados. Humor just didn't land like it did with 1 either

Portal 1 was literally a tech demo. 2 is widely accepted in the industry as some of the best video game writing ever.
To each his own, but I loved all of the different gels they let you use in the second part of the game. I've played through that game so many times, and there are still some puzzles that make me stop and think about how to solve. Makes for a great puzzle game.

Portal 1 is a great, groundbreaking game. But in my opinion, Portal 2 took everything good about 1 and improved on it. And I don't say that with nostalgia. I replayed it... *checks Steam* back in November. Glados, Wheatley, and Cave are all fricking classic.

Wheatley getting increasingly annoyed when you keep breaking the monitors was hilarious and a great way of building puzzles within puzzles.

I haven't played either in quite some time but I have fond memories of playing the co-op mode with my wife. If I recall, it was a whole different set of puzzles though I don't think the story part was anywhere near as fleshed out.

Co-op was meant to be played after you finished the main game. Good dialogue, but less fleshed out story.
