Pokémon cards question

Morning, 2 weeks ago, my daughter was given a Halloween boo bag at school. Included in that boo was a 3card pack of pokémon cards. She has carried these 3 cards around with here everywhere since.
She is 6 and has already told me her friends have decks and wants some cards.
I see on ebay people selling 100 cards lots. Are these worth it? Or should I just go to the comic shop and buy a few packs?
I know nothing of the card game, just played pokémon go for a bit a few years ago.
Any help you can give this clueless dad would be appreciated

You can go to local comic shop and get a starter deck for 10-15 bucks

60. Im in Japan but the prices shouldnt be to much different. at that age they probably just want the cards for the pictures on them anyway.

Not only no but BIIIGGGG no. They are just junk cards of commons.

Edit: you can also buy pre made 60 card decks at Walmart or target. They have shitty ones called theme decks and then they have decent ones called battle decks that have better cards

Go to the store. Buy a pack that has a "powerful" Pokemon card and it also contains an entire deck. Comes with a token, game board, damage tokens etc.
She may just like collecting the cards rather than playing but that's a good start

A lot of cards on ebay are replicas reprinted as well. Gotta be careful with those. If she is truly wanting to get into it, you can get the battle decks. However, if she isn't looking to play with the cards and just collect just go to a local card or comic shop and buy different packs and let her have the experience of trying to find good cards in the wild. My kids go nuts when they open a pack and get a rare or whatnot. You can download an app like TCGplayer that can scan the cards and keep your collection digital and also give you value idea. My oldest one opened a Ultra Rare RayquazaV Rapid Strike card that is listed as being about $94.19 according to the app and other websites are showing about the same. It's an alternate full art card from Evolving Skies. He went absolutely ape shite nuts knowing it was a rare card before I even scanned it thanks to his youtube videos he watches. That's the fun part of opening card packs no matter if they are baseball cards or pokemon cards. It's the finding the cool looking ones or the valued ones. He is begging me to send his card off to get graded even though he doesn't want to sell it.
