If anyone wants a PS classic to hack it and put better games on it, it is currently about $27 at Target if you buy it in store with the Cartwheel coupon.

They really dropped the ball with the PS1 Classic.

Pretty much.
20 games on it and a lot of the most popular ones didn’t make the cut for whatever reason.
Even of the games they did have the rights to, they made some questionable decisions like Twisted Metal 1 over Twisted Metal 2.

Hey, at least they made it hackable (by accident), so I get FF Tactics, Suikoden, and a bunch of other stuff that didn’t make the cut.

I don't know what it's like once you hack it, but I read the emulation is really bad.

Better games wouldn't do it for me. The original non dual analog controllers are a deal breaker.

And almost half the games were 50Hz PAL region instead of 60Hz NTSC.

This too. I couldn’t imagine playing MGS1 or RE1 without analog sticks. By the time I got my PS1 in 1998, the analog stick controller had been out and I never used the controller without them.

They need to make a PS1 Classic 2” with good games.
