I'm not on here to makes friends or even get along with most of you, don't really care how you think of me or my views.
Microsoft lost my service/money with how they fricked up the 360 for half its life and I will not support them over Sony.
I tend to really dislike Microsoft lately, from Bing to Windows 8 to Windows Phone I don't like anything they have done lately and the 720 is going to be geared towards entertainment while the PS4 will be more towards gaming and the 4GB of RAM dedicated to Kinect breaks the ice for me nor do I care for any exclusive on the XBOX, Halo was dead to me after 2 and Gears has never been something I cared for much.
I'd rather have Uncharted, Metal Gear, God of War, Last of Us, Killzone, etc. Those peak my interests more.
I have a $2,000 laptop that plays about any PC game at high to max settings for when I want to play some PC games, which is rare, I'm a controller guy, dislike using a mouse for anything shooting orientated and I enjoy FPS/TPS games, using a controller on a PC is retarded especially with these new consoles the next few years being somewhat on the level of a PC.

pure speculation on my part, but all in all if hardware specs are whats mentioned in the article linked , then its not bad and should be sufficient for what people will want a playstation 4 to do.

What, that using a controller on a PC for shooters is retarded? I'd always heard it's a disadvantage?
You don't think the PS4/720 will be "somewhat" on the level of a decent gaming PC for a year or two?

I'm probably only one excited for Knack, but it looked like Ratchet and Clank which I enjoyed a lot. Looked great too.

i mean there is a learning curve but if you are good with a controller then you will be fine.
you probably couldnt be mlg on the pc circuit or anything but itd be doable for entertainment.
i agree, shooting with a kb/m sucks
and no, pc components really grow exponentially. shite expands so quick. cards and processors now are overkill for 95% of available programs imo
just to throw some #s out, if the ps4 is 1.6ghz and current gen cpus are generally 3.4 to 3.8 with overclocks up to 4.0 and above... the cpu power comparision will get out of hand mighty quick id imagine
even still, 1.6 ghz is fine for PS4 users imo

Yes it did. Instant on (sleep mode), playing games as you're downloading, -deep down-, Killzone, remote play, sharing, and Destiny seemed to be the most popular items of the show.

Yep. And they still have the console reveal which is the big ticket item apparently. I enjoyed today. I can't wait to see what MS has to offer.

I think it's more than 30,000 polygons. They said that one game which comes out later this year is 30,000 and I was under the impression it was a ps3 game. Then they said "but the ps4 can do this like this <insert old man head>"

showing the console is important for marketing because people need to see it in order to visualize it in their house and seriously consider purchasing.
