As far as I know there is no "win" condition.
In theory your empire could capture all of the territory in the game, in practice that is highly unlikely to ever happen.
However, it did happen in the original Planetside a few times.
There were times in the original game where I fought over a base for 3 or 4 hours, logged out and came back 2 to 3 hours later only to find the same base fight still raging.
Planetside is not really a game for the lone wolf type players.
Yes, you can pad your kill count solo, but the large organized outfits are what really spearhead the capture of bases and the movement of the map.
You may be able to capture a small outpost on your own, but a solo player will not be able to capture a base.
If your goal is to pad your own stats you can do that just fine solo. If you want to help your empire push the battle lines, then Planetside requires a totally different kind of mindset than any other FPS out there.
That is the beauty of this game. You can log in for 30 minutes and play, or log in for hours and play.

I didn't read. I was at work on my phone and didn't have the time. I just remember that PS1 was pay to play. It was a lot of fun, but no game is worth a monthly fee. I'm glad this will be free to play.
