My history says I can like this type of game.
Cons (stated by others):
Graphics are poor quality.
Putting speed on greens is broken.
Game is not polished.

If I buy this game digital for PS4, will I be able to download it and play on ps5 when that comes out? That will decide for me if I get it or not.

Anyone else having issues with a slow downswing? I have played 4 rounds and my only miss is a weak slice but I feel like my downswing stays the same no matter what. Does it vary between different clubs?

That’s exactly right, there is a bad hitch. At least on PS4, the swing will just reset if you try a slow backswing. They need to patch this ASAP
This has happened to me a few times.

Definitely calibrate your swing. It helps.

I was so bi polar in the Korn Ferry Tour tourneys. I won two of the five, but also finished like 75th in two of them as well. Shot a 59 one round.
It took me a little while to figure it out, but I’m really enjoying it so far.

The start/stop bug on PS4 was getting so bad I went out and bought a new DS4. Problem immediately vanished.

Turning off the shot meter has helped my putting a lot.

I’m playing career on normal, and I’ve won 4 out of my first 6 tourneys. I might need to put it on Hard.

You can customize how hard the competition is, and vary how they play round to round and event to event.

I'm not having the putting issue on PS4. My issue is getting the swing timer. I had it on the easiest level at first. That was too easy. Upped it one level and almost all my shots were slow and somewhat sliced. In an entire round I might have had 10 shots with perfect timing.

I played the second level and got the hang of it pretty quick and bumped it up. Also depends largely on the course. I played the Q School qualifier and shot a 61 first round at TPC Louisiana. Played the Augusta download with a buddy after and shot 70
Overall the actual golf play on this is night and day vs the old EA games. You actually have to shape your shot beforehand correctly
