I cannot wait, the first one may be my favorite RTS of all time.

I remember not being able to play the big maps on my decent comp back then bc when it got up to 8 people, my comp would shite a brick. I pledge to not have that happen this time.

FYI guys...I got my rework station in about 10 minutes ago. I am going to go hook it up in a bit and play around with it.

yeah bro its great fun. COH2 is everything i hoped for, so far.

not too popular on this forum sadly. Maybe that will change when it comes out. Sbr2, myself, and burgeman have been taking our lumps, and dishing out some asswhoopins, prepping up for the official release later this month.

We will carry, until you get your bearings straight

I agree, COH1 was my favorite RTS. With Starcraft 1 a close second.

its REALLY good. Prepare to micromanage..lol

I was able to play 8 man maps with a 3.6 ghz Phenom , 550ti, 8 gb 1333 mhz ram, on a solid state drive. You should be fine.

sbr2 plays on a laptop i think and has to reboot after a prolonged session due to memory leaks and the onboard video ram needing to be rebooted. NBD.

COH2 has fricking snow, though... oh man the blizzards.

It has a 660M and it burns a hole in my leg after 4 hour sessions

Should I buy this to fix it? A new socket cost me $10. I think I could sell it as a refurb for about $100 because new they are $140.

Coyote, would you buy that board and refurb it if you were me? I am trying to decide.

Is that the A85X or A75 from ASRock. I actually have the A85X w/ 5800K for my HTPC.

If you believe you could fix it. 30bucks isn't that bad of a deal. It would be a cheap and potentially profitable for you.

ETA:
Oh shite srry. It is Z77! lol.. that could be extremely profitable.

I didn't even read the description. lol I just look at the picture then closed the link.

I think I could clear $40-$50 on it as a refurb unit. I may buy it if nothing else comes up in the next day or so. I haven't had any more good deals pop up in a few days so I need to buy something.

I read that earlier today. It said it couldn't get past 4.2/4.4 and even that was a bit unstable.

Hey Stout, may be late to even be telling you but I think that the mobo may be more than I need. Looking for something in the $130-50 range

That's sad. Sandy Bridges were/are great overclockers, then Ivy became more of a luck of the draw because of the temps. Don't like this possible trend.

The crazy part is it isn't the chip. It is the TIM between die and heatspreader. When IB-E drops, I will delid my 3770K like blue had done. Hopefully that will get me to 5.1 in benches.

None the less I agree with you. This trend of not even modest refreshes and still charging a super premium price is sickening. Since the 2nd gen cores nothing has really been improved in compute power. If the roadmaps are true and we get Haswell refresh next year, it being 4cores with iGPU improvements would be a fail.

Delidding completely? (i.e., not reapplying the heatspreader?) I've actually never done that. Doesn't it leave a gap between the cooler and the chip?

Yes but if you remember EK made special length thumb screws.
