Anyone interested in either of the following:
GTX 570 SC
8GB Patriot RAM 1600
HAF-X case w/DVD writer, Blu-ray reader, some of the front panel USB ports need to be replaced, but it does have 2 2.0 USBs and 2 3.0 USBs, a 12-1 card reader, and 2 HD cages, room for 2 or 3 more tooless cages if I get some replacements from Cooler Master, but also still has 2 SATA cages for hard-drives in the front so you don't have to install via the side panel.
Hyper 212
Or if i split up stuff:
DVD/Dual Layer DVD reader, writer
Samsung Blu-ray player
12-1 card access bay
Only things left from my previous computer that works and someone could potentially want, maybe.

Link to the specific product page
That's what it is specifically. You probably have a better idea than I do of what it's worth, so I'll trust your opinion if you want to tell me what's a fair price for it, not including shipping.
But yeah, its 8gb in two 4gb modules.
Also, I do have one question for you. I've been running a generic HP 1920x2400 monitor, with a 5ms response time, with my last build, but bought an ASUS VG248QE which is a 24-inch Full HD LED-backlit 144Hz display @ 1920x1080. Even though I'm going down in resolution, I should actually notice a lot better performance right?
Can you explain the advantages of having an HD LED backlit monitor, I think my other one was LCD. Also the 144Hz and 1ms times vs the previous 60Hz and 1ms times...what should that translate to while gaming?
I also want to say I remember reading that this monitor would be able to work with Nvidia's G-Sync when that's released, which is a major reason I got it. I should probably double check that I guess.

No problem, do you mind looking at my edited post and explaining some of the advantages I should experience with the new monitor I got?
ETA: Actually looks like that monitor requires a DIY kit to mod G-sync in and they're out of stock. You think I should probably return it and wait and get a G-sync enabled monitor, or I suppose some might be ready already? G-sync is going to be a major innovation from what I've read, so it's worth making sure I get a monitor that supports it, don't you think?

144 hz vs. 60 hz.-- this is the refresh rate of the monitor, the rate at which the monitor’s hardware is refreshing the display, indicating how many full frames per second your monitor is capable of displaying. 120hz/144hz monitors will offer a significantly smoother visual experience and faster mouse response in competitive shooters. It's one of those "you need to see it next to a 60hz monitor to really get a grasp on its awesomeness" things. But, there's a debate among gamers on which is better: 1440p or 120+hz. I'm not totally sure where I stand. I've done both, but right now I'm using a 60hz 1440p monitor, and it sure is awesome.
The best use of your new hardware would be 1440p or above, since the GK110 and Hawaii chips are meant for high-resolution gaming. 120/144 hz is also great, and at the moment there is no monitor that can reliably do both without iffy mods that don't actually achieve the full 120.
However, in the next few months, ASUS will be releasing one, and it will also support g-sync without mods: LINK
Unfortunately, it'll be $799. Still not bad considering you get the holy trinity of gaming monitor features (WQHD (1440p), 120+Hz, and G-Sync). With your rig, I'd definitely consider it. There'd just be way too much wasted performance at 1080p, regardless of refresh rate. I'm probably going to get one eventually, once I find a compelling enough reason to upgrade my crossfire 7970s to something from nVidia. G-Sync definitely could be a game-changer. In theory, it's the first proper solution (a HARDWARE solution) to tearing and variations in frame times.
Don't be swayed by marketing about monitor response times. 1ms, 3ms, 8ms, it doesn't matter unless you are a pro gamer and can distinctively point out the differences having tried many different types, and even then there's some placebo affect at play there, especially when comparing 1ms vs 3ms. Higher refresh rate monitors will typically have a very low response time anyway to account for the higher frame rate(since response time is the time it takes for your pixels to change from one color to the next). Input lag is most important, which is rarely advertised in monitors. It's typically 25ms, and can be much higher in certain TVs. Hell, human reaction time is over 200ms, and the time between each rendered frame on your screen (if synced with a 120hz monitor) is just over 8ms. Then add a few ms for mouse input time.
Then of course, LED will be better than LCD visually. Older LCD panels use fluorescent backlighting vs. LED backlights which will have a more vibrant image with better contrast (whiter whites and blacker blacks). These days, it's a given that you'll get an LED backlit monitor.

frick I wish I worked at an Intel retailer.
You have the possibility to get a 4770k for under $100 and a 4930k for under $200 through the Intel retail edge

Hey guys, I have a few PC parts to get rid of if anyone is interested. I can ship or do local pick up; I'm in Lake Charles.
8GB (2x4) G.Skill Ripjaws 1600 (red heatsinks)
16GB (4x4) Corsair Vengeance 1600 (low profile blue heatsinks)
PowerColor 6870 reference card
PowerColor 7870XT PCS+ (this is the same as the Myst card but with a different cooler)
ASUS DirectCUII TOP R9-280X
Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler
AMD 1055T CPU
The Noctua cooler is the only part listed that was really used for a decent amount of time, everything else is very lightly used. If anyone is interested just let me know.
Have a good one.

I'd do the Ripjaws for $50, 7870 for $100, and the 280x for $265.
