That's what Blue uses. I use the yeti, but it's more expensive. It's a good brand, for sure.

780 Ti is going to be a newegg shell shocker deal in about an hour: LINK

Not sure if it really will be a good deal or not. Newegg likes to mark up before marking down.

Ahhh yes. The ol' gasoline strategy. Mark it up so that when it comes back down you'll think it's a great deal. When actually it's a few cents more than what you used to pay for it. Works every time!

And yep, it's a fail. $709 and a $10 rebate. NCIX already had the same card for $689.

Just picked up Dishonored GOTY edition for $9.99 on Newegg today, free shipping. Thoughts on the game?

Where's the best place to order the right size heatshrink for sleeving? I always forget what I kind I used the last time I sleeved. Hopefully sometime this week I'll get my 4770k build up and going, just got windows 8.1 USB ready to go

Edit: Have any of y'all ever painted a PSU? I really want to keep my Lepa, but it'll look bad in the new build (it'll also only be powering a 4770K for now )

I used the same size heatshrink as I did for sleeving because it was 2:1 (it shrinks down to half its size), cheapest stuff I could find. But in some cases, because of the size, I had to use needle-nose pliers to slightly stretch it to that it could fit. Mostly on the tiny 1/8" sleeving, for fans and stuff. Stretching it doesn't affect its final size once you shrink it.

You could spend a little more money on the 3:1 heatshrink, and maybe get away with a larger diameter. That's mostly useful when sleeving things like crossfire bridges or cables where you can't remove the connector (so you need to stretch it over the end).

I sure have!

This bright-arse orange 1000W Cougar PSU:

I know most people open the PSU and desolder the connections in order to paint the metal safely, but I decided I could be careful enough with the taping method since I didn't have to paint everything (such as the fan grill).

Finished:

I did this about a year and a half ago. The PSU is still in use today (mining rig).

Great job on the PSU! I really like the look of the thermaltake toughpower grand series, but I'm not going to spend upwards of $200 for a 750/850w psu.

I'm doing a red/black color scheme BTW. I'm not a fan of it, but the mobo is red/black, so that's what I stuck with

Edit: Here's the thermaltake PSU...

What part of the motherboard is red? Paintable?

Since my Mpower had yellow, I could go with a yellow/black theme (no thanks), or paint those heatsinks.

The PCI lanes, ram slots and the heatsinks. I imagine I could paint the heatsinks, but not the PCI or ram slots

It's doable with meticulous masking (stick an old PCie device into a slot, mask off the rest of the board, and paint. Probably more trouble than it's worth.
