Those newegg videos helped me do mine, it's not that bad at all

Yep, it's easy, and if you get stuck, you know where to look.

how are you liking HM?

2011 is the only line that supports x16/x16 in crossfire, which is why people recommend that often over the 3770k in xfire setups

Wow I never knew that, so basically if you are on an 1155 socket then crossfire is bottle necked? Is haswell supposed to be any different?

Haswell, from what I've read, is no different. Although, I don't believe that this generation of cards are totally saturating even x8 yet. Now that may be different when nvidia and AMD put out their 20nm cards next year.

I need more PC friends :(

You are right.. Running x8 in games is good enough, you just see the difference in benches.

Looks awesome and all but where are the specs and benches!

True, SB and IB alone have the limitation, but there are several good boards to choose from that use the third-party PLX chips that manage the data between the CPU and PCIe slots, allowing PCI-E switching capability to give mobo manufacturers 32 lanes to work with. Not that it provides a true performance advantage, but it does allow for 3 and 4 way xfire and dual x16.

MSI XPower...

If I was buying into 1150 this would be it. Sorry I'm waiting for IB-E. I wouldn't mind paying 400 for a 2011 board this nice.

Do you like the extreme 3?
I love it!
Posted on 5/29/13 at 1:37 pm to dizerik
I have the extreme 4 which is why I was wondering. I like it but have no other boards to compare it too. I probably should have just saved the money and gotten the extreme 3 but it wasn't that much in the end.
