I'm just looking for some factor which links the relationship between performance and profitability. Simply meaning is, what coin has low buy in and static rewards and what coins have high buy in with high rewards.

If you want to observe the mining landscape (difficulty, trading prices, and trends), sites like coinwarz and coinchoose are a good starting point. Don't get sucked in by the coins you see at the top of the charts. They could be at the bottom 10 minutes later. Observe the trends and averages.

Profit-switching pools are mostly slaves to the charts, especially when the net hashrates are low. If a coin hits a high that's disproportionately more profitable than the rest, it's going to get hit by the profit-switching pools within minutes. The difficulty will go up, the coins will get dumped, value will plummet, and much of the perceived profitability is gone before anyone can even get paid. If you're looking for low-risk/fairly static rewards, a good profit-switching pool is a reliable safety net -- they are always more profitable than litecoin, and there's an occasional day where you'll do very well on a profit-switching pool when some scammer is successfully pumping a random altcoin that doesn't have a lot of mining support yet. Mostly, the multipools have been switching between only a handful of coins and paying out fairly consistent rewards. I'd use a profit-switching pool before I'd mine litecoin, unless there was a reason to believe litecoin would go up in value since it has the distinction of being one of the first scrypt coins (if not the first). I have no real reason to trust it, and my strategy from the start has always been to convert everything to bitcoin, so naturally my goal is to mine coins that will yield the most BTC.

If you want to go after a specific coin, the best way to avoid the wrath of profit-switching pools is to go with coin whose hashrate is just way too high for most switchpools -- Doge, for example. Save for a couple of pools, most of the switchpools have hash rates less than 1 Gh, so if they try to mine doge (net hash of 100 gh), they run the risk mining it for hours and never finding a block before their algorithm switches them over to another coin.

The relationship between performance and profitability? Scammers, speculators, and miners. They all have the same goal -- to profit. 99% of the scrypt coins out there have little to no loyalty and were simply invented to make a buck. Miners herd to it when scammers pump it and speculators buy it. Someone makes money. Someone loses money. Everyone moves on to something else.

EDIT: If one were to have enough cards, the best mining/trading strategy would be to point each card at a different coin and mine 10-15 different coins 24/7, monitor the market closely, and sell off individual coin stashes in the middle of pumps. I did that a while back with Mooncoin, and just got lucky. It didnt have much mining interest, so it jumped to the top of the profitability charts due to the low difficulty, so I mined it for a few hours until the difficulty spiked (because when a coin is at the top due to low difficulty, it's guaranteed to be worthless in a couple of hours). But instead of dumping, I went to sleep. When I woke up, there was a pump in progress and I tripled my money.

But the pumps can last only a few hours or even a few minutes. I am way too busy to be watching the exchanges all day.

Denver's offensive line is bad.

We knew this all year, they played a weaker regular season schedule. Denver was never my pick for the AFC, they had a great playoff run at home.

I'll tell you this, everyone bet Denver with us. So glad Denver on't beat their own spread.

I built some cool shite though.

Poor Peyton has to live in his brothers shadow for at least another year 2 SB victories to his 1.

The first TRUE case for a SteamBox/HTPC finally hit the consumer market.

Just pre-ordered the first real Steam Box/HTPC case that fits a full size GPU and most importantly, fits perfect in my Media Center. As for the aesthetics, I really don't enjoy it, but it'll do for now.

Silverstone RAVEN RVZ01

EDT: I know you guys have seen this on Toms, Anand and others one month ago, but here are some pics.

Linus had a good overview video about this case. It has a "console feel" to it

Yeah, I watched them all. That is how pumped up I've been about this case, ever since the first reviews had been published, i've read everything released looking for a launch date.

No true iTX case which can fit a dedicated GPU exists, one that fits inside most Media Centers anyway. All the others on the consumer market are basically large square or rectangular boxes that are too tall.

Like I stated in my last post, it doesn't hold any aesthetics I like, but the form factor and functionality are perfect. I wouldn't want that ugly thing in my living room, but wireless WiFi/BT will make it easier by allowing only HDMI and power cord hook up.

Yeah I feel like thats a good thing, right? Hopefully this case can make it into console gamer only living rooms.

The SteamBoxes are really starting to gain attention from the public eye. I've had a few friends who only play consoles ask me about them this past month. They didn't release the SteamBox was actually just a gaming PC inside a console form factor.

Saying that, it gets me thinking that others in my area might want SteamBoxes made for cheaper than the retailers. I might seriously put ads out for SteamBoxes at cost. Figuring out one's needs, forming a budget, creating the build and assembling/installing components is fun for me. I would honestly build a few for free, like 2-3 month.

All of the Amazon Gold Box deals are all PC components. I didn't really see anything that stood out.

The small form factor PSU market could use some variety. I'm hoping the steamboxes create interest there. All of the other "steambox" cases out there have been too big because it's more convenient to make them sized for ATX PSUs. On the flip side, you have those slim media center cases, which are compact but not worth a damn for anything but an APU build.

How do you guys manage your music? I have tons of cd's in my car I never use and I'm thinking of backing them all up on my pc. I have a lot of songs on ITunes but I've never been a big fan of using it.

I played Vanilla Minecraft and still felt the same way about it. Then a friend introduced me to Tekkit Lite and then more mods and finally Feed the Beast modpacks with the GregTech to make everything harder. That got me addicted for awhile. Vanilla never really did it for me and I have to use a texture pack. I like the Sphax ones a lot.

Coyote,

I finally put the 2 X Classifieds in.

Without adding voltage I OC'd them to +70 and +71 and OC'd the CPU to 4.6. I let the CPU handle Physx as scores seemed to be higher using that method.

21979 3D Mark11 with 34408 graphics score and 11080 Physics score. I know the CPU (3770k) and not adding voltage is holding me back but still pretty decent scores IMO.
