Bad bins... reason they are so cheap.

Are you OC'ing the core or memory?

EDT: Cheap cards will ahve shtty memory modules. You won't see any Hynix or Samsung inside them.

memory. I've got them relatively stable now. 924 on the core and 1400 on the memory. Stock core is 1050 and they're a turd anything higher than 1000. At 924 I'm only losing about 60k/h total but I'm able to undervolt them to .990(stock is 1.25).

dem temps.

60% on the fans and can't even hear them.

CGRemote is an interface/front end for CGMiner?

Link me to that, or I will search when home. On the road atm. Yea I put all my cards to 947 core and undervolt at less .31 with a memory clock of 1500. I find(you guys would know best), there is little benefit OC'ing the core.

As for the fans/coolers, I only really here my 290. All the other cards seem to be pretty much whisper quiet.

EDT: 7870s settings?

There is benefit to OCing the core if the mem overclocks well, in order to get the appropriate ratio. Otherwise, no.

CGremote allows you to monitor and control via cgwatcher. It's a closed beta but you can get it for a donation of $10 worth of BTC.

yeah, like LSU said, overclocking the core is only good if you can overclock the memory high enough. You want to keep the core around 2/3 of what the memory clock is.

I found DR took affect around 1020 and the ceiling was no doubt 1050.
This was with the 290, the higher clocks didn't hold enough value for the increase in temps.

I will see what benefit OCing the core on those 7870s get me.

This is so much fun, building gaming builds in multiple form factors was getting old. IDC about making a profit, I enjoy learning and putting these builds together. I can always break even on I'm the end selling the hardware, hopefully.

Maybe you'll have better luck with your memory than I did. I can push mine, but they're not 24/7 stable at 1450

My OCs to 1550 and another 1600. My clocks are at 1500 just because DR kicks in and I'm trying to keep temps and volts low.

I'm so bored of my current build but I never play games anymore so I can't justify a whole new rig.

:masterraceproblems:

As a matter of fact I had $450 in Amazon credits and yesterday instead of buying a new GPU or something I used the credits to buy stuff for my business. I need to get my priorities in order.

I know, I feel like such a little bitch saving all this mining money for day care, a crib, and diapers.

Speaking of babies, here's a creepy 3d ultrasound pic we got today:

These companies make bank. What's funny is that it has no medical use whatsoever, and the 3d effect is entirely software based.

No, but I was watching the Linus live stream earlier and he said that he saw a report that a 7970 with an 8350 cpu had a 25% increase in a 64 person server with mantle, compared to DirectX. Meh, I'll take that with a grain of salt though.

That would be a huge performance increase.
