Maybe you have a cheap sound bar? My Sony, which I actually hate Sony works great and we need it to hear dialogue. Thats hard for me to say being biasis to Sonos and Samsung.

When I watch blu rays in my living room the sound is extreme on both ends. I have to crank it to hear dialogue but then when music and action start its loud as hell. I read on one forum that 5.1 surround sound would help but that's not an option. I have used a sound bar but I get the same issue. I use my tv speakers because they are better for equaling out the sound but it still happens. Any thoughts?

See if your blu-ray player or receiver has dynamic range control. I hate watching movies "as the director intended" (i.e. just plain loud so that you can hear the dialogue and then have your ears bleed 5 seconds later because the sound-track is cranked up). Also not good when there's a sleeping toddler in the house.

Sony blu ray player and Sony sound bar, not sure how the quality is on each. So do I want dynamic sound on or off?

yup, my JVC has dynamic control and it's awesome. Especially for streaming movies online that they intentionally lower the sound quality to try and make it look better.

You want it off. It should normalize the volume.

Or wait... It depends I think. Looking at a sony blu-ray player manual, there seems to be a feature called audio DRC, which you would want "on" for standard compression. If you have that option in your model.

All the guys on OCN doing mining with their 780s and Titans get avgs of 450.

Can you link me to OCN so I can see how to get it set up? I'm pretty sure my 780 was only getting 75khash, so I must have messed up some settings

Mine is dynamic volume control so it brings all the sound levels to the same level. Makes loud scenes quieter and quiet scenes louder. Provides the appropriate balance.

you have to use cudaminer. It's easy to set up. My 260 gets like 30k/h.

Me too, but it just doesn't sound right(to me) without the correct set-up.

Blue just go to OCN and look under the distributed computing area. On my phone and its annoying to link.

I have so many nVidia GPUs and this 290 has made it interesting, feels like the old folding days.

I have some old AM3 boards and Athlons to use. My shed is almost complete, I'll set up a little stack of various cards.

I'll pay you guys to speak with my on vent or Skype tonight.

I'm having trouble getting GUIminer to work with Doge pools. Thats the reason I just started mining LTCs.
