Need some wireless card help.
I checked device manager and believe I currently have a DW1501 802.11n half mini card.
It works but won't detect n wifi.

Found a bunch of comments online that say, although it claims to be n compatible, it is not n compatible/ enabled.

I just scored a Netgear nighthawk AC1900 router.

ATI 5770

Could I leverage y'all's knowledge on PC building to help me select a performance replacement wireless card?

ETA:
Should I just get the closest version of the DW1501 Nic upgrade to get N functionality?
Or should I see if I have an extra x1 PCIe slot to install something like the Asus PCE-AC66?

Oh I know..

Because It is awesome! I wouldn't got it if the damn thing wouldn't have came out almost 3 months after the 4930K launch.

We just as soon wait for our X99/5930K/DDR4 boards now.

EDT: My Kaveri came in, not like you guys care. For some reason I love tweaking APU builds. Probably because when you lower timings and increase clocks to memory it actually makes a difference.

Let's start with the obvious.

This: MSI Z87 MPOWER Max ATX Extreme OC Flagship High Performance Triple CFX/ SLI Platform Intel Motherboard

and this: Intel Core i7-4820K 3.7GHz (Turbo 3.9GHz) LGA 2011 Quad-Core Desktop Processor

Are not compatible. The CPU is socket 2011, and the motherboard you chose is socket 1150.

Based on that error alone, you are probably overspending. That motherboard, for example, is the exact motherboard I use my main rig. It has a lot of features that you probably don't understand and will never need/use (for one, it's an overclocking enthusiast board, and the hyper 212 is not an enthusiast cooler). If, however, you have Coyote-money and are interested in an expensive high-performance build just for the fun of it, that's fine too. You just need to allocate that money correctly. Either way, let's start from scratch. Post in the PC thread or start a new thread that outlines exactly what you need. I can put together a sensible part list.

It would be helpful to answer the following questions in your new post/thread:

1. What do you plan to use this rig for besides gaming?

2. What types of games do you play or plan to play?

3. What are the specs of the monitor you plan to use? Specifically, resolution and refresh rate. If you don't currently have a monitor, what monitor are you considering?

4. What is your budget (this budget should not include monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc. Just the PC)

5. Do you know what overclocking is? If so, do you plan to overclock?

EDIT: and since your part list did not include a case or PSU, do you already have these? If so, what are they? Be very specific about the PSU.

I think I will probably just play with the 780 ti Classifieds for a while.

I also have an ASRock Fatality MB to put in that rig as the Asus board in there has given me nothing but trouble when it comes to SLI.

I think I'll do it this weekend. I picked up one of those Samsung EVO SSDs that you posted on sale last week. I now have two of them for this rig. This weekend is install the new MB, rehook the watercooling (CPU only), install the new video cards and SSD and do a fresh windows install.
