Got my 760 and new monitor in today. Tried to hook them up by putting the 760 in and hooking up both of my monitors. When booted up I got a response on one screen that said power down and plug power supply for GPU. I have the GPU plugged in too. Curious to what I've done wrong??? I'm on my way to Nola so not in front of PC to answer many questions. Thanks for the help.

Perhaps a stupid questions, but do you have your power supply's PCIe connectors plugged into these?

codecademy?
I love codeacdemy. I've been doing CSS lessons off and on since March and using SQLZOO for SQL lessons at less once a week since January.
I'm looking to convert my Access DB in VBA. A lot of you don't know what I do for a living but I'm in Project Controls, specializing in cost control and performance evaluations. My big thin is EVS (Earned Value System) to monitor cost to performance. What you are getting for your dollar basically. Long story short, I've created a really useful database with very proactive queries over the coarse of my career. So i'm looking to develop this program from VBA to SQL BE and CSS FE. This will allow clients/contractors/employees to monitor and use it as a web app. I could license the software or sell the software. There isn't really good software in the construction controls discipline which are simplified or really any good.
Anyway, I wish I've would have learned more code while in school besides VBA. Even in my field knowing some form of code can be very useful.

Also make sure you didn't just plug in 2x6pins and using an 8pin and 6pin.

teksyndicate just posted a pretty decent youtube video about the myths of computer audio. Basically, they were saying the soundcards use amps and software to make users think that the sound is better when they just add more impedance. They were saying that people should buy a good DAC, amp, and set of cans to give the cleanest sound. Do those of you who have this kind of setup agree?

Oh no doubt.
..but what a good sound card offers you is the ability to push a good set of cans. Say your headset has 32 OHMs, you won't need much voltage to really push them. Now if you have a headset of 600 OHMS then more voltage will be required to push those cans and that is when a soundcard will help you.

I meant to watch that video this afternoon. Will definitely watch tomorrow. I've been considering options to improve my sound a little bit. I'm using Philips O'Neill over the ear headphones and onboard Realtek ALC1150.

I know they are a little cliche now but they still look awesome and get great reviews.

I need to format a Windows 8 HDD so I can install Windows 7. The Google has a ton of conflicting information.
Any of you guys ever solve this issue before?

be warned, the guy Logan interviews is kind of terrible at explaining things, but Logan does a good job of simplifying and emphasizing the important points.

It doesn't let you. A drive installed with W8 doesn't let you downgrade to W7.
EDT: This a factory installed, the thing is locked down pretty good.
