Question, why not keep the media stored in another room? I love the fact I can keep my stuff on 24/7 and never hear it.
You can always connect to any drive on your network if shared.
If you don't want to do that by any means, really take a good look at the Node 304, Lian Li and SilverStone cases. Lian Li probably makes some of the better quality cases in the smaller iTX/mATX form factors. You should be able to find a couple cases which can accommodate 2 x 3.5" and 1 x 5.25" drives easily.

Trying to cut down on clutter and stuff, and it looks like my gaming rig is stuck in the matter bedroom for the time being, so I don't want it running 24/7.
Otherwise it would have to go in the cats room and that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

I'll have to try Office Depot. I have a bad back so I don't need to be sitting in a crappy chair anymore. I hate ordering them online though because you never know how comfortable it's going to be

If you aren't putting inside the media cabinet, this is one of my favorites.

Reason I downsized mine. I had 3 computers doing 3 separate jobs which one computer could have done.
We've also finally decided on building a storage/work shop in our backyard. Our storage room and garage are becoming a little "too cluttered" with those items we use just enough to not store them in the attic.

That damn video you posted about DAC/AMPs and sound cards from Tek Syndicate is making me sell my 2xASUS Xonar STXs.
I use a DAC for my mic and headphones but use those sound cards in my HTPC to improve audio. He was sort of right at times. The statement that is simply makes it louder is true and it doesn't add much more quality. I've had those sound cards on several different MOBOs and I can tell you, sometimes it add a "cleaner" output depending on the board. Yes its true all your mid and top lvl boards have solid audio, but it doesn't hold true for every board under say $100. I can also tell you that every damn AMD always has some sort buzz/static/humm in the output.
Anyway, just wanted to tell you thanks for making me realize I need DACs for even the HTPCs. They have a ton of SFF DACs which can stay out of sight.

I do need a better chair. My chair is nice but wouldn't purchased if it wasn't on sale for $150.
The thing isn't the most ergonomic chair, so 5+ hours starts to be a pain. Want to invest into a more ergonomically correct chair but wow; those prices are ridiculous.

Yeah, they get expensive, but they are well worth the investment for me -- for the durability to support my fat arse, and because my work and play time are spent in front of the computer. I remember using a dining room chair for two weeks while searching for a good computer chair. Never again.

I had posted a few days ago about hooking up my GPU and new monitor. I figured it out i wasn't hooking up the power supply to the card correctly. Anyways, i was told a while back i may need to tweek the settings on my new monitor to have it run better with the 760 i got. As a gift i received this monitor LINK. What do i need to do to have it run better with my i5-3570 and gtx 760? Also, i am running dual monitors with my old acer 24" screen. In order to game on one monitor and have say a map for the game pulled up in the other monitor do i have to tab out every time i want do something on that monitor? Thanks for the help.

I have that monitor and I love it. To really take advantage of it, especially with a single 760, run everything on medium/low. It depends on what you're playing though. I don't care how pretty the game looks, because I play for the smoothness that frame rates that high provides.
Yeah, you have to tab out unless you're playing in windowed mode. Try and run your games in borderless windowed mode if it bothers you to tab out.

In windows set your better monitor to be the primary monitor. Your secondary monitor should still be visible even in full screen. You can pull up maps or whatever, but you won't be able to interact with that second screen unless you tab out. Like bruce said, you can run in windowed mode if you want to be able to easily interact with whatever you have on your secondary screen.

Also, in my experience, windows defaults that monitor to 60hz. Be sure to change it to 144hz. right click on desktop/screen resolution/advanced setting/ monitor tab/screen refresh rate drop down box.

I thought that was controlled by your display adapter? My system automatically adjusted the refresh rate from 60hz to 120hz when detected by nVidia's Control software. The only times I have manually adjusted that monitor's refresh rate was to down clock it, but that another story.

Okay, i changed it to 144hz. Yeah, i got the new set up for DayZ and don't start my new job until 1/6 so i will be playing countless hours of it. I will try to lower the settings on it thought to see if it runs any better. Again, thanks for the help i really enjoy PC gaming so far.
