Meh...I also like the look and the fact that the 770/780 has the Titan cooler.

Would crossfire help higher resolution or do you just need more memory for that? Is crossfire just better for pushing 120 frames?

SLi/Cfx would help processing the higher resolutions.
You need Memory to buffer those frames. You need both TBH for higher res.

Crossfire would help resolution, but memory is also important. You have to consider both. 2GB worked fine with my 1440p, but my monitor is not 120Hz. Now I have 3gb. Strictly speaking, memory is a driver of resolution performance I suppose. But you really need both core performance and memory. Hard to only pick one. Since memory stores the data being sent to your screen, high resolution means more details means more data means more mem. You'll see a more noticeable performance with a jump from 1GB to 2GB, than you would 2GB to 3GB. I have a feeling that 3GB will be a requirement for certain settings in the near future.

So in other words it just depends on the cards

And the 770 is supposed to be a little faster than the 680.
That's everything I've read as well. I almost pulled the trigger on a 680 a week or two ago. Damn glad I waited.

FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
my crossove is fricked. Goddamn fedex punched a huge hole in the box and of course it had to be on the panel side. The thing has a gash on the panel. I am fricking sick right now.
what kind of recourse can I expect?

Where did you order from?
Posted on 5/10/13 at 12:41 pm to Mr Gardoki
red cap on ebay. I sent them an email already with pictures. It's really not the seller's problem but they have a 14 day return policy. The real pain in the arse is gonna be shipping it back to korea which I am going to ask fedex to pay for.
Posted on 5/10/13 at 12:43 pm to puffulufogous
I'm guessing you didn't get shipping insurance?
Posted on 5/10/13 at 12:45 pm to Mr Gardoki
it was never offered to me.
