Trying to convert from non tech related field into IT of any kind. I just need a job first then I will branch from there. I can't be too picky without any experience.

However I do suggest everyone listens to Anadtech's podcast for August 3rd. I usually listen to TWiT.tv's Sunday night podcast on Monday morning during my commute into work.
Well, glad I decided to check AnandTech for any new podcasts. They just uploaded bi-weekly cast on Sunday for Saturday's recording.

As you all have probably read, Samsung was exposed for OC'ing their phones ONLY in benchmarking apps. Not only that, but REMOVING the thermal limit with NO TDP limit. Basically the thing could sit turn and run benchmarks in a loop until it burns up.. literally. What made the whole podcast so interesting is that AnandTech's Sr. Smart phone writer was the one who uncovered all this. WOW.. Very interesting how he went about getting results and proving his findings then seating on it for basically a month.
Now you ask wtf do I care about smart phones SoCs.. no one here cares about APUs much less integrated mobile processors. Well I would say to you sir, what goes up must come down. If hiding and faking anything to better market a product can be done, it will be done at any lvl. They also explained before it was just ATI and nVidia in the 3D scene other companies where competing and just straight up lying or faking benchmarks to market their product ahead.
Never the less, very interesting article for you guys to check out. I know some of you older builders here will remember the old 3D software companies that competed against nVidia and ATI.

Okay wasn't sure, never owned 7970s, just 7950s and they are 2 x 6pins. Which is odd because they have very simialiar TDP.. those 2 pins are not even hot, they are negative for a more stable TDP if it DOES get hungry for more volts.

Okay, the first thing you want to do is PRESS F2 or DELETE key after turning it on.
This will bring you to the BIOS, here you can start OverClocking.
Overclocking is THE VERY FIRST thing you should do after assembling the build. Overclock then install your OS.
