Well, my computer just locked up again, so the addware wasn't the problem. I'm almost certain it's a flash issue at this point.

Did you rescan to make sure it's all gone? Have you tried reinstalling flash?

Damn...these drivers lowered my graphics score. My score is up overall though with my CPU at 4.0 vs 4.2
Because it is now spacing the frames out equaly.. not throwing away what isn't needed so you get a smoother apperance but longer frames. Sooo longer frames = less fps.

Gotcha. I don't feel like fooling with it all too much right now. I am sure I will push over 10K once I tweak it all.
You guys see the new BF Friends?

Hey stout, im filling out my rebate forms and im kinda confused about the one on my graphics card. They want me to cut out the barcode and attach it to the form. However, the box the card came in has two barcodes in two locations. One on the side of the box and one on a tab under the lid. Which one do they want?

I saw the ending coming a mile away but I still laughed. That was awesome.

I'm about to get started on my build, but I have a question concerning thermal paste application. I've looked over a handful of videos and posts and Arctic Silver's guide, but the instructions aren't consistent enough for my easily worried mind. Can one of you fine gentlemen provide a definitive way to apply thermal paste?
(Note: I'm using Arctic Silver 5 with the Hyper 212+ and an i7 CPU.)

The actual UPC code which is the sticker on the side of the box.

From what I've seen is you put a small amount in the middle. Spread it out with a small and clean flat head screwdriver. You want the CPU to be covered but you want it as thin as it can be. Only apply it to the CPU and not the cooler.

No...no. Use a zip lock bag or something. Use the corner of it with your finger to spread it out. A pea sized drop will do.

Probably not but I personally wouldn't drag a screwdriver across the top of my CPU like that. I just wouldn't trust myself doing that and I am pretty good with tedious work like that.

Could I use one of my model paintbrushes?

I would think anything like that is fine as long as you make an even coat on the entire processor. I did mine the way stout said, though.
