Looking to throw a little ITX PC together with some of my spare parts... Forgot how expensive ITX boards for "older" (8th gen) gens are

Yeah, you definitely reach a point with motherboards and RAM that you kind of look around and realize it would be cheaper to just do a from scratch low end modern build

Yeah I looked at a for fun ITX build for years and never did one. Wanted to do an all white one.

I might just buy an atx case with a handle or something. I have all the parts except for the case and itx mobo (I have a full atx mobo).

What’s your usage case? Or a better question is suppose is what are you trying to accomplish?

There is no use case and there is nothing I'm trying to accomplish
Just trying to find some use for my spare parts that I'm too lazy to sell

You caught my attention when you mentioned a handle; that’s why I asked
Plenty of small atx cases out there:

It would be ideal to use it around if I need to, but that would be like twice a year
I might buy a cheap and smallish non-plastic case and put my own handle on it

I'm just hoping that the future 4080/7800xt hybrid/aio I buy next gen doesn't put me in the poorhouse

Death Stranding coming to PC Game Pass on the 23rd, for anyone that never checked it out.

It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but I very much enjoyed it. If anyone hasn't played it, they should give it a shot.

Well, if I’m being more honest, “put me in the poorhouse” is more aptly described as “dealing with my wife giving me substantial side eye”

Decided I was just going to rackmount my spare PC and make it my in home streaming PC. Keeps me from having to buy anymore spare parts I guess. Will be cool once I have it setup for cloud gaming tho

As expected, V Cache brings the pain. I'm waiting for November. I wonder if Intel was like don't post the high end chips from amd we get creamed.
Unfortunately for Intel those e cores are useless for 90% outside cinebench. Do your homework kids. Friends don't let friends buy e cores.
AMD Zen 4 V-Cache: 30% faster than Zen 4 CPUs without V-Cache
