Ehh won't be that long. September/Oct is a looong ways away.

Consoles are supposed to be able to hit demand by early next year, should be the same.

One of the dumbest comments I've ever heard.

I work with tech every day for my job (Electronics Industry) and out of all the dumb shite I've heard/read, that is certainly at the top.

Holy these overclocks are insane wtf! New single GPU world record on 3DMark.

quote:

PowerColor's Insane Radeon RX 6800 XT Red Devil Graphics Cards Hits 2.65 GHz Overclock on Air, Memory Overclocked To 17.2 Gbps

They weren't kidding, 2.5GHz OC on all of them, and over 2.6GHz with better cooling.

Newegg has some stuff, but nothing super interesting to me at the moment. They do have a Gigabyte 27" 170hz 1440p monitor for like $320 after discount that I'm thinking about scooping up.

Few days out from AMD 6800XT launch and I can't find a solid independent article comparing it to the 3080 yet. Has anyone seen a side by side yet?

ETA: Nevermind. Tried a few search terms and more articles are popping up. Seems like 3080 wins hands down on ray tracing games, but similar performance on other games at 1440p with the builds I saw not having SAM enabled.

Best overclocking cards to date. Gonna cry if I don't get one Wednesday preferably the Asus LC.

Things are insane. Can't imagine the 6900XT with a 2.6GHz OC.

No, super simple. And they all hit 2.5+ too.

Can AMD make one that will fit SFF cases? None of these cards will fit the Sentry

What are your goals for this? You have a very very high end CPU, which is still good, but now its superseded by the 5900x/5950x, and you have it paired with a RTX 2060 Super, which is also last gen (although current GPU stock everywhere is a shitshow).

32 GB of memory and a ton of storage - this a workstation build? Video surveillance?

EDIT: If you're just gaming, I wouldn't get the 3950x/5950x.

I would probably go with a 5800x or 5900x, and put the other couple hundred into a higher end GPU.

If you're just gaming too, you don't need 32 GB of memory either.

Gaming and 4K photo editing via Photoshop and Illustrator. I figured I’d get ahead and just get 32GBs of RAM from the start. I think I’ll just wait for the current gen to unfrick itself. I like what I’ve seen from them.

I’ll be doing a ton of IT work as well. Development, running VMs, etc.

I meant to select a 2080 at least

Hmm... In your situation, you probably want the 5900x then. Should be able to handle what you wanna throw at it. Unless you specifically need the 16 cores then go for the 5950x.

As far as GPU, I would honestly just use an old one for now if you have one until this GPU availability situation sorts itself out.

Its an utter shitshow right now.

If yall need anything, I may have a ton of parts to sell soon

Trying to sell a prebuilt with no GPU. If I can't sell it whole, I'll part out here.

Asus TUF X570 mobo
Ryzen 7 3800X cpu
Lian Li case
Thermaltake 750W PSU

I'll get full list later

I’m probably game for everything but the cpu on that list. Few questions:

Does the mobo have WiFi built in?
Which Lian Li case?
Fully modular PSU?
