Have you looked at the Fractal Node 202? I love mine, and fits nearly any graphics card. I don't have any HDDs in mine, just a single 1tb m.2 drive, so building in it was a breeze

Noctua L9i

I have 4-5 of these coolers, love them in everything but when trying to use in a gaming iTX/SFF builds.

Its very limited. Can get pretty loud at times, but that is just the SFF life.

I love the simple look of the 202 too. Looks nice in my entertainment center.

Basically has a simple look of a console

Remember TekSyndicate fckking Wendell a few years back?

Look at their "pilot" episode. They throw shots.

YouTube: Level1Tech - Hello World

Wendell has always been a God on Earth. Remember for years he would hide behind monitors to not show face?

Ryan is fckking hilarious every show, if you love realist dry humor.

Krista is a kind heart, she has grown on my a ton.

Yep, I have. Honestly can’t go wrong with either the 202 or the ML08B/RVZ02. Really my top 2 choices.

I do like the look of the Silverstone slightly better but that’s just personal preference

What are the alternatives? Is the C7 decent in a case like the 202 or the Silverstone cases?

The L9i is about as good as you'll get for a SFF cooler

Yep, reason I have so many, just saying they are limited.

Only other option would be an AiO.

I'm basically down to the C7 G: LINK

or the L9i (AM4): LINK

The Noctua is $50 but rated at 65 TDP, the C7 G is $100 (weird, I could've swore this cooler was a lot less expensive), but the G version is fully made of copper covered with graphene, and rated at 125 TDP.

I'm almost tempted at this point to say frick it and get a 3700x or 3800x just because

Yeah, it's the reason I said it is "limited", but still impressive. Just maybe not the right choice for a gaming rig, if you could sneak in another cooler.

But, I also have been "conditioned" that temps over 40C is my rig about to catch fire. Guess it's a product of mainly only gaming on custom watered cooled PCs. My temps under hours of loud sometimes get above 40C.

Looking at blocks for my 3900X, crazy that Amazon sells EKWB products now, or a reseller on Amazon.

I rather mess with Amazon than Performance PCs and FrozenCPU's insane S&H prices.

EKWB Velocity - Really only option IMO?

IDK what to do for a MOBO, just hate all the designs. The MSI ones I do like, they come with goofy dragons over the chipset.
MOBO: ASUS Strix X570

Purchased this one too, will see which I prefer.
MOBO: GIGABYTE AORUS Master X570

I know, 2 LTTs videos posted in a row, but he is entertaining.

After more research on components (GPU mainly), I've decided on the 5700 XT Pulse from Sapphire.

Waiting on a couple gift cards to show up before I purchase everything. I'm not sure if 3rd gen Ryzen really benefits from faster memory like 1st and 2nd gen did, so I may go down to DDR4-3000, because I don't really think it would make much of a noticeable difference from what I do.

PCPer didnt have the HyperX Fury DDR4-3000 16 GB kit, so I have the DDR4-3200 kit in there now...

Thoughts? I'm going for basically a clean, mini-itx build with close to zero RGB, that can handle decent 1080p/1440p gaming with workstation capabilities for video and some microcontroller/FPGA design (I haven't decided on a monitor yet - any suggestions?)

PCPartPicker Part List: LINK

IDK the thermals, but should be well enough power for your needs. One thing to remember when building iTX systems is that the "game" changes in terms of acoustics. There is less area/specs/inlets where air flows into the case, so those sounds are now amplified. Might want to look into new case fans if the case you select mentions anything about shtty case fans.

This will be my first experience with Ryzen but it is, imo from experience, buy RAM with low tight timings. You then have options between avg frequency/low tight timings, high frequency/avg timings or high frequency/high timings. RAM with lower timings usually gives you more flexibility to find the best settings for your CPU. So when purchasing RAM I almost always go for Low-Tight Timings/Avg Frengquency over High Timings/High Frequency.

GamersNexus reviewed the Sapphire 5700XT Pulse and he had high praise for the thermals and noise.

The Silverstone ML08B case (similar to the RVZ02 and the Node 202 - except you can mount 2 120 mm fans potentially in the Node 202, depending on your GPU thickness) has seperate chambers for CPU and GPU, and does not have any case fans. Ive looked into a bunch of builds with the case on PCPer, and SmallFormFactor.net and it seems like this build should fair really well with thermals and noise.

The Kingston DDR4-3200 kit, according to Kingston's site, has 2 XMP profiless:

XMP Profile #1: DDR4-3200 CL16-18-18 @1.35V
XMP Profile #2: DDR4-3000 CL15-17-17 @1.35V

I've been looking for the amazing CL14 kits, but I cant find anyones for decent prices - the ones out there for 16 GB are close to $130+, which is not worth it.
