What sucks, Ampere is rumored at a possible 40% increase over Turing. Most think it will stay the course with a 20% increase, but regardless, lets hope full Navi finally delivers.

Yeah, I like to halve the number estimates.

Nvidia says 40%, probably closer to 20% real world.

AMD says 30%, probably closer to 15% real world.

And yes they are, congrats and enjoy.

Idk where I could bring this up, but any Nexpo fans here?

If so, wtf is going on with Dad vs Nexpo lawsuit?

YouTube: Dad vs Nexpo

I could go to Reddit, but reading about it gives me a fckking headache. I still don't understand.

Edt: My favorite "dark" YouTube channel is still the OG, Lazy Masquerade. But enjoyed Nexpos content this year.

Most ppl have no clue. I even write it wrong at times. 8 bits to a byte right? Or something like that..

Edt: Google changed 8 to a, anyone noticing autocorrect is becoming super agreesive?

Edt2: I forget why 8bits make up a byte. I can't remember if its a function of binary or how data is wrote and stored.

Edt3: Googled..
quote:

These days, a byte is 8 bits because we say it is. Why 8? Because computers are binary machines and powers of two are handy. A byte is enough to store a single ASCII character plus a “parity bit” which was important back in the dark ages of teletypes, paper tape and so forth.

Looking good early for AMD mobile.

AMD Ryzen 7 4800H + Radeon RX 5600M Combo Beats Intel Core i9-9880H + NVIDIA RTX 2060 in 3DMark

quote:

AMD launched the Ryzen 4000 APU lineup at CES 2020 challenging Intel’s dominance in the mobility segment. Based on the 7nm Zen 2 architecture, the Ryzen 4000 or Renoir APUs pack as many as 8 cores and 16 threads, running at 4GHz+. Paired with Radeon Vega graphics, these chips are going to be some of the fastest and most efficient mobile processors we’ve ever seen.

Comet Lake does have hex-core and possibly octa-core designs but at the end of the day, like the 8th and 9th Gen lineups, it’s another rebrand. The hex-core i7s and i9s run hot and throttle hard, minimizing the advantage of the higher core counts and clocks.

In a 3DMark benchmark leaked today, we have a Ryzen 7 4800H system paired with a Radeon RX 5600M. It handily crushes an Intel Core i7-10750H paired with a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti.

The best part is that the AMD system is almost 10% faster in both the physics and graphics tests. Furthermore, it even manages to beat the octa-core Intel Core i9-9880H/NVIDIA RTX 2060 combo.

That cooling solution looks better than most cooling solutions on dedicated GPUs.

Honestly, kinda want.

I need to start flipping cards on eBay again. I just get tired of the pkging and sending off.

In middle school/Jr High that is how I made money. But with sports cards. eBay was like a playground as a kid.

I miss the old eBay, the eBay where you could inject HTML and customize your sale pages.

Late 90s and Early 2000s were fun internet times. Shtt felt magical.
